I think Tennessee got a new nickname a few weeks ago:

It doesn't make a lot of sense but I will attempt to explain how it evolved. The corndog along with the funnel cake are the staple foods of all fairs and carnivals. Pre-corndog Auburn fans referred to LSU fans as carnies due to the attire worn by the fans and the atmosphere of their gameday. It was either funnel cakes or corndogs so whoever took the original about Nebraska or Iowa decided on corndogs. The rest is message board history.

And once again...if you have to explain a joke it is not working. Carnies? LSU is not know for funnel cake(yankee term)- Pot du pain is what my family grew up calling it. It's just not funny or relevant, but go right ahead.

The absolute best part about "Corndogs" is the reaction it gets from LSU fans. For some reason, it hits a nerve and because of that, it is hilarious...

Actually, the reason corndog doesn't fit this category of insulting nicknames is that exactly 0% of LSU fans found it insulting. It's also used more by LSU fans running with it than opposing fans trying to unsuccessfully insult them.

I have never heard of anyone using "boogs" as a nickname for auburn. That could be a nickname for anything.

Lol at all the LSU fans hate being called corndogs.
i don't know any that hate being called that. honest.

the key is that it makes zero sense. that isn't an insult. it's just weird and has to be explained to the average LSU fan

so why boogs/booger eaters? was it from an AU player or coach or just another random word that tide fans assign to other schools?

At least they were nice enough to give all the Ags jobs when they got back.

i figured. it would make sense for a team like Mizzou since their star QB got caught munching on his boogers on national TV but i guess that kind of stuff doesn't matter in alabama

Can't eat there anymore.
Only thing I use to enjoy was the nachos, and after a terrible night of drinking, I haven't been able to eat doritos since.

I think the first page had one butt hurt LSU fan on it.
My freshman year back in 2009 though, I swear I smelled corndogs the first game I went to. In the alley way between the stadium and the journalism building.

I can't imagine any insult getting under my skin, but I wish there was a good one for LSU.

That's a damn shame. Momma G's is fantastic drunk food.
