College golf is so unbelievably competitive today. The transformation of the pure talent in the sport over the last 20 years is greater I believe than any other sport at the university level.

Poor Oklahoma kid. Doubles his final hole to go from -1 to +1 and OU misses match play by 1 stroke.

That is golf. A wonderful game that I both hate and love.

That’s tough. Hate that for the kid.

Probably alone on this but I’ve always thought that there needs to be a rule where if you hit the flagstick like that and the ball rolls off the green, you get some kind of relief closer to the hole. You’re basically getting penalized for hitting a really good shot.

If it didn't hit the flag it overshoots the hole by dozens of yards the opposite direction.

Looks like Auburn draws Virginia as 3-6 matchup.

Vandy versus Ohio State as 2-7 matchup.

The front played easier than the Back 9. Will not matter in match play, but for stroke play with spit tees, it allowed for both swings. Auburn i believe was 9 over on back and 4 under on the front 9.

Have you ever watched golf? There's this new thing the players are doing called backspin Corky.

Those par 5s must be hard.

I saw more bogeys than I thought these guys would ever make on a par 5.

Must be challenging angles and yardages.

7500 would be unplayable for me.

Depends on the type of shot but I was about to say the same thing you said. It's almost always a bad break to hit the flag or pin with any approach shot using about a 6 iron or less. Only times hitting the flag or pin is better is with a long iron or fairway wood approach or if you've bladed a chip or bunker shot around the green that is going to race by the hole otherwise.

I don’t want a “rule change.”

It was a “rub of the green” break.

He laughed.

It probably would have been within 10 feet if it had missed flagstick. Hit ground, bounce once, back up.

He’s a really good player.
