Clearly lied to these guys and it's going to cost these players most of their NIL money. It makes even more sense why LSU only took three players from OM. Most looked right through the BS.
Every article at the time says something on the line of "The Tigers are set to spend $1.5 million to land Ole Miss edge rusher Princewill Umanmielen. LSU will pay a $600,000 buyout to Ole Miss and provide Umanmielen with a $1 million NIL contract."
There is no way Princewill left for a million knowing he'd have have to forfeit over half of that in one lump sum.

I'm glad we're run professionally and ethically now under Pete.

Someone seems a bit upset that LSU took some Ole Miss players.
Cry ab it, and melt some more. Your obsession of LSU is hilarious

Imagine getting conned into thinking you're getting a million dollars only to have to pay a school $600k of it and then immediately get your arse whooped by said team on Sept 19th.

Keep convincing yourself that OM really wanted those three. Prince, sure. He improved over the year and worth a shot. Upset? Absolutely not. Our DL is absurd. He found a place that he can play more than just third downs. Good for him.
Harper and Dottery already on the second lines lmaoooooo

Is that what happened when you poached the Clemson kid who was already taking classes?

Be careful what you sign.

Ole Miss fans have a lot of opinions.
Most end up being false.

One huge difference... Ole Miss had a binding contract in place, Clemson did not.

They are putting so much focus on hating LSU that I'm not sure they even know who else is on the schedule.

No one on here has seen the contract Princewill Umanmielen allegedly signed. Without seeing the actual language in the contract regarding breaches and/or buyouts, it's a battle in futility arguing over what he owes or doesn't owe Ole Miss without seeing the actual contract. Whatever the case, Ole Miss has no cause of action against LSU to collect, only with Umanmielen. And let's, for the sake of argument, say Ole Miss chooses the litigation route. That isn't going to be resolved until Umanmielen is in the NFL. Then you also have the potential issue with the enforceability of any of these revenue sharing agreement given the court's prior stances on restricting player movement and the Court's, at this point, aversion to calling players employees. If these revenue sharing deals end up being interpreted as employment agreements, then that opens a giant can of worms for the entire NCAA and will extend well beyond any damages Umanmielen may or may not owe Ole Miss. I think it's also important whether or not he actually received any money from Ole Miss
At the end of the day, revenue sharing wasn't available until July of last year. We're in a new frontier with those and there is no precedent, to date, to fall back on as to how a judge would deal with them.

Ole Miss had 21 players transfer out.
3 went to LSU.
Is your dumbass of an AD running to the press to cry about the buyouts for the other 18?

Things appear to be rapidly deteriorating for the land shart fanbase.
No worries, I’m sure y’all truly think you’re in good hands with Drunk Pete at the helm.
