The reason is the buyouts were due 7/1
There is probably a 99% chance that Lane/LSU told these kids not to worry about the buyouts, they would cover.....yet, here we are.......They signed legally binding contracts the week before the dead line and knew the consequences.

I think the NCAA plans to punish Ole Miss because of the Clemson tampering.
Of course, Kiffin lead LSU will punish Ole Miss in September. Rebels need to be taken to woodshed.
