The #1 problem with Moorhead was that he fostered a culture that allowed players to do anything they wanted, and allowed a Program with no structure. It's why all his assistants jumped ship in year 1. And it's why he ultimately is no longer the coach at MSU.

Had he run a "decent program" which isn't hard to ask.

Then he'd still be the coach beyond a 8-5 and 6-7 record. But he was given multiple chances and failed.

Who cares? Why is everyone acting like it’s Napier or bust? Hell. If it’s Hud I’d be happy just because Sloppy Joe ain’t on the sideline anymore. I don’t get some in here. Many said we should get rid of Moorhead, he sucks, blah, blah, blah. Then we can him and the idiots on here crank out what the hell are we thinking. We are trying to save our program from going back to 1985.

You fired him 5 weeks too late.

Oh I agree 100% with that. The only thing I'll say is that the evidence is even more clear today than it was then so there is no doubt to anyone that actually followed the program that a change was needed.

And the best news is we made a change and didn't just give him a year 3

Possible, I’ll give you that. We’d probably be in a better position to hire had we done it then, but I don’t think it was ever too late with Moorhead. Like I said, no one we hire can be any worse. No one.

Come on man. Be better. You know better too. Here you are 1 year ago:

I think a lot of our message board fans(key word message board) bought into some hype that this was a team that would only have a loss in Tuscaloosa this year. Who did we really beat last year to make that call? Youre pissed because we didn't go undefeated and win it all now?

Was I upset about the loss to UF? Hell yeah but don't act like Mullen didn't have questionable games and head scratching moments. Better yet, is 2014 the only year we didn't shite the bed at home to an equal opponent?

SO if you want to honest, do so. You know Mullen left that roster in bad shape for the next coach in year 2 and you know Moorhead was recruiting extremely well for MSU.

You also know that those people started rumor after rumor to get him fired.

Now, what happens when those few there that run it decides that the new coach should go and start the process again? Agree with them? Start a call to replace the AD?

How far are you willing to burn it down over what you know to be false?

JJ - he has friends "in the room" and is completely eat up with this Moorehead thing. Apparently, his "friends" didn't tell him the whole story on Moorehead.

This guys mission and manifesto’s are freaky as hell. He is more passionate about Moorhead than most fans are about their Alma Mater. While claiming he is the fan of ANOTHER school. It is extreme behavior. I feel sorry for his loved ones and pray he/she/it didn’t breed.

But what's done is done. If Napier isn't lying, who is the actual next person on your personal list?

Well Norvell is gone, waited too late so I dont know who else is out there besides the ones listed.

I mean you can take a risk on Fred McNair from Alcorn he has done great things there but its a risk. His success may not translate to SEC play.

played for Bill Clark in high school 25 years ago. Love that guy. But he has never coached a school outside the state of Alabama. Just a thought to consider.

Starkville is like 5 minutes from Alabama.

No, you guys keep bringing him back up. This thread was about who is option 2. But you have some who are now worried because what was stated to be fact is now in doubt.

So who is #2?

Not sure who is left either. Hudspeth was mentioned at one point, but I have not seen his name since.

I mean I know that you are not hiring a triple option guy. That rules out the Army guy. Calhoun at AF maybe???

You are in a holding pattern with Judge.

Chiz? Asking for issues.

I don't know Bill Clark. But I've paid attention to him @ UAB. Helluva a HC that's been through a lot. Not sure if he's a guy that's wants to do anything other that make UAB the best that it can be. There's some coaches that you can't buy.

The Louisiana head coach set the record straight Sunday ahead of the LendingTree Bowl against Miami (Ohio) Monday.

It’s fair to say we’ve made a decision that I’m not a candidate for that job. I just want to get that out of the way,” Napier said, according to Creg Stephenson of AL.com.

So you could be right. But who is your #2

Dude, I’m here to maybe help you.

What exactly are you asking, without all the bullshite?

Who’s our number #2?
Well it seems the fans #1 was Napier. I’m not sure who’s Cohens first interview was with.

It’s being reported he interviewed 5 or so coaches over the weekend.

What else are you trying to know?
