2 offensive and 2 defensive players with one of each honorable mentions. Taking into account players who played multiple season’s

Defense 1. Honey Badger
Easily one of the best defensive players the SEC has ever seen. To this day he is still one of the most fun players I have ever watched. If we had seen him play another season, he would have been a top 5 player in SEC history

Defense 2. Jadeveon Clowney
This one speaks for itself. Clowney was one of the most feared rushers in all of college football and to this day has the hardest hit I can think of.

Offense 1. Johnny Manziel
This hurt me in my soul. I hated the kid in college because of what he did to my school. No one can deny what he could do on the football field. Off the field issues aside, he is an all time great.

Offense 2. Joey Burrow
It came down to Joe and Cam for my last spot but Joe’s stats speak for themself. He played an extra season, and his Heisman season alone was one of the greatest seasons of all time in college.

Honorable Mentions

1. Cam Newton
2. Myles Garrett (POS)

ETA these aren’t in order of Better to worse. Joe > Johnny

Honey Badger returned kicks and punts and was in the running for a heisman. Take your crimson glasses off for a second.

Jon Allen had 4 more career sacks and finished 7th in the heisman voting in 2016

Basically took a year off...hell Jarvis Jones was a better pass rusher and was SEC defensive player of the year in Clowney’s best year

How the hell do you have both Cam and Tua behind Manziel? Dude won some games in college but has zero bling.

Cam had arguably the most dominant season in the history of college football. That has never been said about JFF. Burrow has had one great season, yet you have him listed. McShay said the other day he had Burrow as a 4th/5th rounder coming into the season. Burrow has played his way to the top spot, but that was off of "one year".

Defense 2. Jadeveon Clowney

It was constantly said, and a concern when he went into the League, that he took plays off. There are handfuls of DL who played as well as Clowney and didn't just play hard when they felt like it.

Leaves off all-time rushing leader.

Includes crackhead.

Yup, makes sense.

Offense:
Tua
Nick Chubb

Defense:
Derek Barnett
Honey Badger

FWIW, this is really hard to decide on so many greats when you go look at stats. One great year over 3/4 very good/great(Henry or Chubb. Tua or Burrow/Cam)?

I'd put Burrow over Manziel in a heartbeat. He's a superior QB. Derrick Henry in Manziel's spot.
