You realize you are a complete a-hole, right?

People in the state of South Carolina care a little more about a hurricane hitting them than a football game.

Lonnie is a South Carolina fan.

I know, I said just that. My point is, a post of the crowd was taken, and everyone posted supportive excuses as to why, not jumping down the throats. Imagine the responses is it was TAMU, LSU, etc

You realize I'm personally eating close to a grand ($300 tickets to the game, $200 rental car and $500 in changed airline tickets) because they moved the game. Yet, in spite of that, 110% support(ed) the decision to move the game. I'd rather eat the cash than have 1 first responder not be available to help support public safety.

So who's the ahole now?

you want to explain to the class how Carolina sold out Georgia State and Charlotte games this season along with our only SEC game prior to last night?

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL was also moved up to Weds/Thurs across most of SC - and most every Gamecock east of I95 (and there's a frick ton of us who are generational season ticket holders) were busy prepping properties/boats/horses/animals for the rains/wind/flooding that is now here.

it's also SCSU and the Marching 101 is a shell of its former self at halftime since their administration stole state funds and the SC Legislature took control of the school/budgets.

eta - check out this photo of W-B too

As I recall, the LSU vs South Carolina game in 2015 was moved to Baton Rouge at the last minute because of flooding in Columbia, and Tiger Stadium was less than half full.

Another good one. A lot of people came in after the game started.

This is actually a pretty nice photo and a decent crowd for the circumstances surrounding the game.

I've yet to see Williams Bryce, but now I want to make a game there someday. It may not be huge, but I like the architecture and the look of the stadium from this vantage point. I definitely want to see a night game there.

Pretty neat seeing the clouds from the incoming storm too. That's just a good photo all around. I can almost feel the air from looking at this.

Those that have never been in a storm like this have no idea what you're talking about. Those that have been, know exactly what you're talking about.

Yeah that was shocking. Was that their entire band last night?

The pic in the OP was way before game time. The crowd was actually much better than anticipated. The student section was probably 90% full so they had an excellent turnout.

2nd time in a year we've had to miss a game for circumstances beyond our control (which is hard whenyoulive so far away.) Maybe it's God's way of telling me don't doom this kid to a lifetime of being a SC fan.
