Yeah, the only way I'd support is if we can get rid of this terrible schedule rotation and make it a 9 game schedule. That way, we won't be @Auburn every 20 years.

To play them annually again?

To piss off Bama?

Missou would oppose big time because they would not survive the west. Everything would suffer as far as their sports, but football would hit all time lows.

-Mizzou is 5-5 in the regular season vs the West, 5-7 if you include the SEC title games. They are 14-16 vs the East. After Bama the West is not that scary.

Why would Florida support?

-Auburn is the closest campus to Gainesville and they were our oldest rival before we split into divisions and stopped playing them every year.

Auburn isn't going to the east. Sankey said that himself.

I'm an Aggie and I oppose it. I'd rather play Auburn every year than Mizzou.

Support
Auburn
LSU
Ole Miss
MSU
A&M
Arkansas
Florida

Oppose
Alabama
South Carolina
Tennessee
Mizzou ?

Neutral
Kentucky
Vandy
Georgia ?

So you basically think that all of the SEC West teams support the move because they'd rather not play you? Don't flatter yourself.

I'm curious why Florida and Auburn weren't chosen for the cross division permanent game and give us UGA? Does anyone know how this was selected?

I could not possibly be any more indifferent to such a move.

ETA: And that's not meant as a slight go Auburn. They should go where they want to go.

They can go to the SunBelt if they wish

It is just another SEC West opponent somewhat like State

They avoided LSU and Alabama for most of that stretch too. Honestly, they had a cakewalk schedule.

None of the east schools want the east to get harder (other than mizzou possibly voting yes). Bama is an auto no vote because we want to keep the Tennessee game and don't want auburn having a bigger recruiting pipeline into Georgia and Florida. So there you have 7 no votes for sure, which means it isn't happening. Besides, Mizzou is closer to uk and Vandy than most of the west schools.

I don't like the idea. They're good in the west, if they move to the east they'll have an easier path for more wins. They'd dominant the east.
