They are tied for 4th in ALL-TIME wins with Notre Dame...

But to be fair, UF was very, very good in those years to be fair, 8 SEC Titles is pretty good in two decades. As well as 3 Natties.

Texas has 5 “unclaimed” national titles.
Looking at AP/BCS/CFP, Tennessee has 1951 and 1998. Texas has 1963, 69 and 05

That is not what the thread is about.
According to your way of thinking... Oklahoma and Texas' entire football history consists of 2024-2025.
As I said... it is entirely fair to surmise that OU and Texas would not have been as successful in the SEC historically as they were in the SWC/Big 8/Big 12 ....
But once again... OU and Texas have a winning record against Tennessee against Tennessee as members of other conferences (6-2)... and that group of five teams were 8-8 historically against the Vols.
I could keep going on down the line... point being... those five teams held their own against the SEC before joining the conference. Whether you "care" or not.

BAMA and Oklahoma are the only no-brainers. The rest of this top 10 gave very little consideration to history and NCs when creating the pecking order.
Tennessee, Georgia, and LSU would all be listed higher than the shorthorns. Florida didn't exist until Spurrier, and that was the 90s. The Barners and Ole Miss would be far ahead of TAMU and Arkansas. The best of the rest only matters to the fan bases.
