Damn, LSU has won four national championships since Alabama’s last one.

Seeing as no one on this board makes money personally from any of the sports, the flex on viewership and monetary value is a talking point “gotcha” for sub-100 iq posters, it appears

This is dumb. That 2025 baseball title is backed up by a 2023 title and a 2019 football title.

Well that’s not the scenario. The question was would you rather have a legit football title that no one alive can remember or a baseball title from yesterday. It’s a legit question.

Everyone would take yesterday over something that occurred before WWII.

I don’t know. Football just outweighs everything. I’m a child of the ‘80s and I remember growing up thinking I was so thankful Auburn had a national title even if it was from 1957, 30 years before my birth. Thankfully I got to witness another in person, but if I’m a Kentucky fan and I can pick a football title from 1939 or a baseball title this year, I’m probably going football despite how long ago it was.

Well, McWoodward had a chance to hire Golden, but he opted for McHallman instead. (They were both hired within a few weeks of each other)

I just noticed the *by Alabama’s title. Lmao

How is a title with a shortened season, not in front of crowds and with half of the opponents players out for Covid be any less than a legit title???!

Since 1990, LSU has the most total championships at 11. 8 in baseball and 3 in football. Bama has 7, all in football.

Maybe it doesn’t at your school because they suck, but the Box is sod out every night of SEC play and we travel to Omaha with 25K of our closest friends and generated revenue.

We’re lumped in with all six of the expansion losers.

You're joking, but your point is well-taken. It is interesting that 6 of the 7 "bottom" teams on this particular list are the only 6 expansion teams in the league's history. I'm not sure what conclusions to draw from that are, but it must mean something.

To be fair, the 3 sports that he mentions are also the ones known to generate revenue at some schools, which kind of sets them apart from all the rest of the other sports, which lose money. In fact, women's basketball should probably now be included as one of the sports by him too, since it has been claimed that some profiting has been generated recently in that sport as well.

It does seem the Texas schools spend big money and run their big mouths with how much they spend and really have nothing to show for for it. At least Texas has won some titles . A&M is
