Maybe, but Alabama and Ole Miss played in the 1964 Sugar Bowl the day after a 3.6 inches of snow the previous day

They played each other? That’s weird.

With the new stadium in Birmingham it has to be Shreveport.

Ole Miss and Alabama did not play very often back then. However if you look there are several bowls that had conference brethren play each other (OU and NU play in the 79 Orange Bowl)

Aggies and Miss State played in the worst of the worst bowl games in 2000.

I was there, and it was glorious

Just a typical liberal run city with lots of shootings and a crappy school system. I stay away from it as much as possible…….the new stadium is on the north side near Top Golf where you can get robbed during the day.

It really isn't. It's a lot nicer than it used to be.

Camellia Bowl in Montgomery because it's Christmas Day. I'm sure Ball State is thrilled...

Its Shreveport for sure but I wish they would move the Liberty Bowl to Birmingham. That stadium in Memphis is old arse garbage.

I've been to Birmingham's new stadium. Its nice and the whole area where they built it has been redone. UAB uses it as their hone stadium and this spring the stadium will play host to half or more of the USFL's games

Fake news. I was in town and went to a UAB game there this year to see the new stadium. The area is very nice, right across the street from the SEC home office. Right next to the interstate for easy access and you can walk across the street to the Uptown restaurant / bar district and Top Golf. The game I went to was at night and there were lots of people in the area, never felt unsafe.

The new Birmingham stadium is in an entertainment area that has large crowds and sufficient police presence to prevent any crime issues. The stadium is beautiful and there’s nice restaurants and bars just outside the front gate. Parking us not an issue. It’s a far cry for Lesion Field and the deplorable neighbor it is located in.

Wishing Auburn had a better season and a better bowl but the Birmingham Bowl should be lots of fun.

Don’t let the Birmingham haters tell you otherwise. I doubt they’ve been to the new stadium.
