Birmingham (I hope Legion Field )
Shreveport
Memphis

Imagine practicing and playing an entire season only to be punished with a few extra weeks of practice and a visit to one of those sh!tholes.

The new UAB stadium is the bowl game. Auburn gets a nicer stadium to play in.

Eat some BBQ, a little music, some Gambling for an afternoon or night. Meh, worse ways to spend a weekend. Just watch your 6.

It's gotten much better, and it's improving all the time.

Sure as hell been some historic games played there. Damn shame that Birmingham wouldn't spend any money to improve the area and stadium before it was too late.

This event is the most random thing of all time. For how rare it snows in Shreveport. Then how rare if it does snow that it snows that hard. And of any time it could happen it's right during the Independence Bowl. Truly a perfect storm. No pun intended.

Maybe, but Alabama and Ole Miss played in the 1964 Sugar Bowl the day after a 3.6 inches of snow the previous day

Don’t confuse Birmingham with the areas around Birmingham (mainly south).

1964 Sugar Bowl: Ice on the sidelines, too. One TD from Ole Miss, 4 FG's from Bama. Both offenses frozen. Pun intended.

I mean, when most people are referring to a city they are referring to the metro area, not just the city proper. The south parts might as well be Birmingham to someone visiting even if they are separate for tax/voting purposes
