This board has officially reached a new level of stupidity with this post.

All of you who thinks it was perfectly acceptable for Saban to lobby for his team: are you the same guys that was saying how inappropriate for the Big Ten commissioner to be lobbying for Ohio State? Just checking…

No one outside of this board gives a shite about it. Saban always lobbies for his team. There's nothing wrong with him doing that.
Alabama was never getting in with 2 losses and no conference championship with the way it played out. His lobbying had absolutely nothing to do with it either way.
What everyone thought was inappropriate is that he was the ONLY coach allowed time to lobby for his team.

The kind of ignorant, bigoted post I would expect from an "Alabama Man".

Should have named the program Bama Bucks.

Saban has more than proven himself of producing championship caliber players and teams. His recipe works. If certain players can’t reach their potential in his system, it’s on them.
Maybe he should recruit players that are more team oriented rather than those who focus on their personal accomplishments.

Alabama fans like to talk about how they got "class" and sh1t.
Oaks with his attitude and cheap sport coats…. Wow, he MIGHT be an OK coach, but class? I can’t stop laughing!

If TV viewers didn't want to see these games they would stop watching, and the games would go away. But that's not what is happening.
This is correct. If these games didn’t get good ratings, they couldn’t sell commercials. If they couldn’t sell commercials, or make more money selling commercials for something else, the added bowls would go away.
And as someone pointed out, I’d rather watch the added bowls than about anything else they could show.
So if you don’t like them, don’t watch them. Problem solved.

The new Birmingham stadium is in an entertainment area that has large crowds and sufficient police presence to prevent any crime issues. The stadium is beautiful and there’s nice restaurants and bars just outside the front gate. Parking us not an issue. It’s a far cry for Lesion Field and the deplorable neighbor it is located in.
Wishing Auburn had a better season and a better bowl but the Birmingham Bowl should be lots of fun.
Don’t let the Birmingham haters tell you otherwise. I doubt they’ve been to the new stadium.

re: How did Georgia barely beat this Clemson team?

Fans seem to forget, or take advantage of when commenting, is that teams are not the same from week to week. Team overall improvements, injuries, motivation, a key player going through a breakup, etc. have affects. To suggest that a team has a problem one week but great another week ignores these affects. But then, non biased, intelligent posters know this.

re: Has it been determined where the mustard came from?
Posted by DavidA on 10/18/21 at 9:10 am
Whenever I go to a sporting event where I know there will be corn dogs, I always pack my own mustard. It would take far too many of those little packs of mustard to properly slather down a dog. If the concession stand has one of those large communal pump mustard deals; I don’t want to stand in line for it, I don’t want to touch the same pump handle that everybody touches, and I don’t want to risk getting mustard on me or anyone else while stumbling though the crowd back to my seat.

On February 7, 2020, Trump told Woodward it was a deadly virus. On February 28, 2020 he told a packed audience in South Carolina it was a hoax.
There are tapes supporting the Woodward quote.
