If I'm an Arkansas fan I wouldn't be laughing about the number of national championships my football program can brag about...

I'm laughing at their whole program total regardless of sport.

No, we haven't claimed that one yet. Go ahead, it's all yours.

It’s hard to keep up with when you have so many.

Like those clowns dont have more important shite to work on. The roads around the state could jar a tampon out of a nun and they are spending time on shite from 66 years ago. If assholes could fly Jeff City would be an international airport.

"The 1960 season included one of the most famous games in the history of Missouri vs. Kansas rivalry. Missouri had won its first nine games and was ranked atop the polls, but the visiting Jayhawks won 23–7. Kansas used an ineligible player, Bert Coan, in the game and the win was officially awarded to Missouri by the Big Eight Conference on December 8. The reversal brought Missouri's record to 11–0 instead of 10–1."

The Eligibility Controversy

The Player: Halfback Bert Coan (a transfer from TCU) played for Kansas and contributed to the win.

The Ruling: Roughly a month after the regular season ended, the Big Eight Conference ruled Coan ineligible and ordered Kansas to forfeit its conference victories over Missouri and Colorado.

The Record Discrepancy: Missouri / Big 8 Official Stance: Recognizes the game as a forfeit win for Missouri, making Missouri officially 11–0 for the 1960 regular season.

Kansas / NCAA Stance: Retains the on-field result of 23–7 as a Kansas victory, leading to a persistent disagreement on the programs' all-time series records.

Well that's strange considering y'all lost at home 23-7 to Kansas (and it's still a win for them and a loss for you per the NCAA).

And the NCAA never changed the result.

Which is also why the sports writers didn't award Mizzery the national title.

What a gay way to claim a national championship.

That's probably the oldest college football tradition.

This won’t change anything. They were already selected as national champs that year by Poling.

That’s good enough to claim a championship for most schools, but I guess Missouri decided not to. 5 other schools claim 1960, always felt MU should join them and make it 6

While I agree with your point, this was the United States Senate, not the state legislature.

They weren't in the top 4:

Minnesota (AP, Coaches, NFF)
Ole Miss (FWAA)
Iowa (Litkenhous)
Washington (Helms)
