If Vegas offered any kind of bet on this, I’d bet against you.

Somebody has a crystal ball I suppose, Minkah IMO has Polamalu type instincts you just can't teach. Saban has always raved about the kid, that's enough for me.

Anything is possible, but Minkah is the LEAST likely Bama player to bust in this year's draft.

It's more surprising to see someone that isn't a bust from Bama.

I wouldn't be surprised.

Why?

I've seen reports where scouts think he's a "tweener", meaning they aren't sure if he's an ideal NFL corner or safety. Personally, I think he's a free safety at the next level and I think he'll be a pretty good one

bulk up a little and he could be outside LB vs a team that spreads you out

some random internet guy actually said that months ago.

so you are wrong about "hearing it hear first" (which, for the record is an incredibly lame thing to say) in addition to the likelihood of your entire premise being wrong.

I think he will be a good player. I think Evans will be the bust off that Defense.

Because of his size, skill set, work ethic? Evans probably doesn't have the natural knowledge for the game that some players have, but he did alright when called on.

I think mainly his style of play and his size (I know he is 240). He plays fast and can get around College OL, but the NFL is totally different. Might make a good Safety, but haven't read anywhere that is a possibility.

His style of LB play is prevalent all over the NFL nowadays, no?

Yeah Gus thought he'd make a good safety too. But Gus don't know shite about defense and neither do you.

The Bama bust thing is such a funny thing to me. Because it is either a great troll to goad us, or a super insecure poster, not talking just about this post but the other thousands like it over the years. In my opinion a bust is someone who seriously under performs their draft status compared to where they were drafted, like Ryan Leaf, Jamarcus Russell, etc. In my opinion the only player who I consider a draft bust based on where they were drafted in Sabans tenure at Bama is Trent Richardson. Have their been other who have underperformed their draft status, sure, but way more have over performed their draft status and it's not close.

Sorry, but I am not bitter toward Evans. I have just watched him play hurt a lot of his career against College competition. I think the NFL will eat him up. He is a very soft R. Foster.

I'd add Chance Warmack to that list. I thought he would be a perennial Pro Bowl guard.

But, yeah, the Bama Bust thing is high comedy on here.
