I think mainly his style of play and his size (I know he is 240). He plays fast and can get around College OL, but the NFL is totally different. Might make a good Safety, but haven't read anywhere that is a possibility.

He's very coachable, and he has an excellent work ethic and a desire to learn the game. The pro's can work with him and change his style of play they think it's needed. I don't see him as a bust in the NFL.

He will play, but being a first rounder will cause the Bust label.

Yeah Gus thought he'd make a good safety too. But Gus don't know shite about defense and neither do you.

No DA, he was targeted as a LB the entire time. His size in HS fit what AU was doing at LB.

I'd add Chance Warmack to that list. I thought he would be a perennial Pro Bowl guard.

But, yeah, the Bama Bust thing is high comedy on here.

The Bama Bust thing is based on where they are selected in the Draft. Richardson would still be in the league if he wasn't a first rounder. Ingram would have never seen that label, but since he was a first rounder it followed him. High draft picks have great expectations early in their careers.

Yes and I think Ingram has shed his. The only Auburn bust I can remember was Aundray Bruce. I was excited when the Falcons got him but did not quite work out.

If he plays FS he could be one of the best at his position in the league. Not sure how elite he'd be as a true corner, but FS or Nickel he's born to play.

Bruce was a head case. He still played 10 years in the NFL, but had the talent to be a star.

Do you even Greg Robinson or Tre Mason much? Auburn has churned out flops for decades. Brent Fullwood ring any bells.

The reason most of these corksuckers try to promote the myth of the Bama Bust is because they are bitter about all the beatdowns they have gotten over the last decade.

It's a shame because most of the clowns pay more attention to Bama players in the NFL than players from their own schools.

Robinson is still playing and is a starter. Tre Mason was a third rounder, so the odds of playing more than one year kills your theory of a bust. Again, most of Bama's bust were because of where they were selected in the draft. You could blame it on DAs like you who brag about them before they play a down of Football in the NFL.

My definition of a bust is more lenient than others I guess. Some would consider Andre Smith a bust, because sure fire 10 year left tackle starter. But plays guard multi year effective starter, not a bust. Underachiever maybe, bust nope.

He just doesnt seem like one of those "Can't miss" guys like Ramsey, Peterson, Adams, etc.

Excellent insight. Really thought provoking analysis.

When you pump out a large number of high draft candidates every year, it guess stands to reason a few would be considered busts by rival fans?

No, when you get drafted in the first round and you fail to produce to that level, you would be considered a busts by the fans of the team that drafted you.

I agree. Expectations always drive the opinions of the fans in regard to their draft position.

Robinson is still playing

And he’s been one of the worst OL in the league every year he’s been in the NFL. He was traded for a 6th round pick last year and is currently a FA. Dude’s a big bust.

Lots of Bama busts, but he won’t be one of them. Dude is a solid DB.

And? He was still one of the worst starters in the league. He started for 6 games, got hurt, waived, and put on IR. And that was all after he, a former no.2 pick, got traded away for a SIXTH round pick. He has sucked pretty much every year he’s been in the NFL.
Considering he was the second pick of the draft, he’s been a huge bust.
