No one is offended.
I like baseball and softball
What was your point again?

There will always be a big 3 because of the correlation with the NFL, MLB, and NBA. You don't have to like it, but it is what it is.

There are 2 major college sports. You don't have to like it, but it is what it is.
Especially since the best baseball players go pro out of high school.

I'm not sharing an opinion on revenue; I am sharing facts from recognized sources. Baseball and softball have very similar costs, while Love's field is larger than L. Dale Mitchell - therefore from a ticketing standpoint, there is more revenue. More asses in the seats means more beer/concession/merch sales.
Right, but you are still wrong lol. They had an operating loss of just under 3 million. There may be more revenue, but there are more expenses. Hence your statement of them operating in the black is incorrect. Their revenue was 7.7 million and had 10.6 million of expenses. This equals a deficit of 2.9 million. The “fact” you are stating is incorrect.

This. It triggers many on here to use the verbiage, but they act like LSU created the term Big 3. This isn’t the case it’s been around for a very long time

Softball isn’t bigger than baseball, no matter how much ESPN pushes it.

Okay? I didn't create the term "big 3", and it isn't going away anytime soon.
I do agree with you that college baseball, to some extent, has been undermined by the MLB minor league system. I think we'll see that system scaled back further to allow the MLB to utilize the NCAA as a larger portion of its developmental league.

Okay? Pretending that college is baseball is on the same level as CFB or MBB just makes you look like a mark.

It's wild how the anti-baseball folks feel the constant need to announce their opinion on the matter.
None of us created the reality that is the big 3.

I'm not sure why you believe I'm pretending that.
I agree with captdalton that football is the big dog in the room, basketball is more of a medium, baseball comes in last as far as national interest is concerned.

I didn't make the thread and you quoted me first.

Bottom line here.
- OP has an agenda.
- softball is pushed and delivered much more by networks that air softball
- softball for most programs actually operates at a higher cost than baseball
- baseball for almost all programs creates more revenue than softball as a whole. This includes live tickets, commercial ads and network contract money
-Softball has no one else to contend with as they are the pinnacle of their sport
-Collegiate baseball competes with all 3 minor leagues, independent baseball leagues and the MLB
- Football is by far the unquestioned money maker and king of collegiate sports
-Basketball is #2
