Not sure but I think UF and the SEC made an agreement not to and Miami or FSU.
Same thing we thought over here then Sankey and the rest of the university presidents decided to shite on Slive’s honor. New SEC seems to be every man for himself so bring on Miami and FSU who gives a shite.

What do you think about Miami in the SEC? Would you prefer FSU if you had to take one?

My South Carolina buddy has always claimed they have a "no-Clemson" clause agreed to with the SEC, but I think these things were just handshake agreements that are in the trash bin now.

Yeah that guy will learn real quick if the ACC starts to collapse.

SEC seems to favor UNC and UVA
I doubt Clemson will be invited but where do you get inside Intel of who the conference brass actually wants?

Texas continues to want to ruin our conference in every way they can.
Then explain exactly what Texas has done to “ruin” the SEC. Name the action, explain the damage, and bring some evidence. Your dislike of Texas doesn’t establish any of those things.
And coming from an LSU fan, the concern for conference integrity is particularly rich. You’re accusing Texas of sabotaging the conference without offering a single example, while LSU’s dispute with that same conference came with a case number. Perhaps start your investigation a little closer to Baton Rouge.

Clemson will land somewhere way too big of a brand to cut out. But to answer your question I bet the conference leaked it. Doesn’t mean anything tho. 2 weeks before ou and uw joined the big ten the commissioner flat out said we aren’t expanding, we ran the numbers and ou and Washington don’t bring enough value “to get a full share.” Everyone glossed over that last part and assumed that meant no expansion. It didn’t. It meant they got added as junior members and are full share members. It’s kinda like how sankey said “there’s no one we can add “at this time” that brings value to the conference, this was pre acc lawsuit . Ppl glossed over the at this time then unc let the cat of the bag and said we have an open invitation to the big or sec. And apparently they do.

Clemson FSU and Miami will lead that charge
Where are Clemson and FSU going to go? The SEC and Big 10 don't want them.

If all Miami fans died, the prisons and parole offices in South Florida would be empty.

I think you’re dead wrong on that

Both of those schools pull excellent tv rating (playing against mostly small ACC schools) even when they are bad or avg. Better ratings are what Espn is going to be looking for to up the contract.

Does anybody really think these “super-conferences” are good for the game/fan base?
Do you really think that a 9-3 Alabama team playing a typical SEC schedule (just an example) is not better than anybody in the Big XII? Or the runner up in the ACC?

IMO not a good fit for SEC and it's not a Florida thing, I would support adding FSUcks to the SEC but not scUM.

“ It might not be the best fit but South Florida is a huge football hotbed.”
It really isn’t a huge football hotbed.
The fans in Miami of any sport only
turn out when the team is winning . Most sports fans in South Florida are
fans of teams elsewhere.

Are they though? They don't sell out a pretty small stadium unless its a big name opponent and that is usually the other teams fans buying them up. They don't want any SEC smoke unless they enjoy 8-4 seasons being a really good one for them. If they did not play a ACC schedule they wouldn't be deep enough to make the 12 team playoff and will only do so occasionally when it expands to 24.

Add UNC and Virginia if you want to expand along the East Coast with well-rounded athletic programs in new markets
Also one of the richest recruiting areas in the country where the SEC does not currently have programs. Florida already has Florida locked in, Miami and FSU bring nothing but smoke and mirrors to another conference.

You can lose 3 maybe even 4 games in the big 2 conferences starting next year and still make the playoffs
For Miami its a money decision
The majority of seasons Miami will lose 3-4 games against 9 SEC teams. The ONLY reason they are currently relevant in CFB is because the ACC is softer than baby shite.

The team I would love to get and would be a great addition would be Nebraska. They still have a national presence (not as strong as 90’s) and they are due for a resurgence.
Too bad no one is leaving SEC or B1G for the other
Hells to the no....an almost impossible recruiting situation with almost no in sate talent to recruit. Nebraska is irrelevant because of geography - the only reason they were EVER relevant is because they played a 2 game season every year. They would have a .500 or worse record 80% of the time playing a SEC schedule....then and now.
