or we could look at it this way....Gus is playing for his second NC in the last three years. (he had no chance playing for a NC at Arky St.)

I think Gus's success is due to good coaching and a little luck. The fact that he's a familiar face provided some continuity which couldn't hurt.

He's a pretty damn good coach, and pretty hard to dislike without it seeming forced and disingenuous.

Gus is superb coach and probably one of the top 5 in CFB but Saban is still at the top of the mountain...

Gus inherited a shite storm losing program and greatly, I mean GREATLY improved them. They got progressively better as the year went on.

So what's the difference between Malzahn and Sumlin? Because everything you said about Malzahn also applies to what Sumlin did last year.

The notion that Alabama has top notch athletes at every position is absurd. Alabama recruits or produces good linebackers and safeties. Alabama also recruits and develops good offensive linemen, running backs, and wide receivers. D-linemen and cornerbacks leave something to be desired.

Auburn hasn't faced any great, elite, or GOAT teams. Auburn hasn't faced an elite defense either. Let the Auburn fans revel in their team's success. The Auburn program will face much better competition in the future, and we'll see what happens.

Gene Chizik is/was also a better coach than Saban.

Saban: 7-5 year 1; 11-2 year 2.

Chizik: 8-5 year 1; 14-0 year 2.

Discuss.

Seems like just yesterday Auburn fans were spouting off with the Chizik over Saban argument.

Great.

I guess now we get to live with 50+ threads a day from morons like you about Malzahn to_________.

If you were smart you bookmarked all your other retarded threads so you can just erase Saban and put Malzahn in it's place.
