It took Saban 3 years to make it to the NC. Gus inherited a shite storm losing program and greatly, I mean GREATLY improved them. They got progressively better as the year went on.

Second reason. It proves that their last NC was all Gus and not gene. This is obvious.

Third reason. He is the future of college football with his philosophy. Sabans scheme and philosophy is as old as miles and the old big 10 days. Saban makes it work with top athletes at just about every position. 4 number 1 recruiting classes in a row says it all. Give him average athletes and his team is average.

Flame away. I am going to seriously burn with this one. I can take it.

I think it's fair to say that the state of Alabama has the two best coaches in college football.

CFB Hall of Fame will be relocated to Birmingham soon.

We own the sport.

I'll say that no other coach in the country could oversee the same turn around. Granted the players were his. But after last season, I'm still scratching my head.

Gus is a great coach, but he had multiple top 5 recruiting classes, that were recruited for his system, and a good Juco transfer QB when he stepped on campus day 1. Saban built Alabama, and LSU before that, by himself.

I agree with the 2010 deal. Auburn did just enough on D just like this year.

Another LSU fan making a thread about Saban. Not surprised.

No logic in your post. The proof is in the results.

Always is. It's all that matters. Good news for LSU though, chavis scheme and philosophy is built to stop AU and aTm and not so much bama anymore.

However, if we played AU today we would probably lose.

Meh, Auburn had a great deal of talent, more than most teams in the nation. Chizik was just AWFUL.

We'll see if he can sustain this success. I think that he can, but we'll see.

Yeah, Saban's caoching has nothing to do with it. Right.

Give him average athletes and his team is average.

Are you implying that Gus is doing this with "average athletes"?

I have no problem with you saying that Malzahn is a better coach than Saban. He is a great coach, and he's done it the hard way, coming all the way up from high school.

But having said that, I am really fricking glad that we have Saban.

Too soon to argue that, honestly. Saban is the best in the business right now due to his consistency. If Gus can establish a winning program, year in and year out, that's when I would throw his name in the hat.

Auburn was 2 and a half years removed from a national championship dude. No matter what you say, they still have good players left over.

Alabama was coming off 5 straight years of probation and scholarship losses. As well as the fact that we had not had really anything like a NC To boost recruiting leading up to Saban.

And do you remember how good these teams were that Saban was up against? You're ludicrous.

And also, most of Malzahn's success is a product of his type of offense. Just like the air raid with Spurrier, people usually aren't used to it. Offenses like this happen. Triple option hasn't been successfully used in 3 decades.

And you know all of what I said is true.

No kidding. I think Saban had relations with their mother.

I can appreciate the turnaround Gus has done this year with Auburn. Amazing. You could see Auburn improving in the second half of the LSU game and they never looked back...

This is ironic. An aggy saying that what has already been accomplished is more significant than potential.

Good lord. I didn't realize what I said would be that controversial. Nick Saban is a better coach than GM. And they're both excellent coaches. Jesus.
