I'm gonna go out on a limb here and bet the vote to NOT expel is 16-0.
I also think Sankey will be out as commisioner once all this shite is settled. This is some unbelievably stupid shite. The thing that scares me the most is that you can be THIS stupid, and somehow run a major athletic conference.

LOL. Do you honestly think Sankey is this stupid? He may not be your favorite but no one is this stupid to walk the plank like this.
You best believe he checked his ammo before making this move. If you think he didn't, your insane.

His performance in the hearing last week led me to believe that, yes, he is pretty stupid.

I get now why Saban never let his assistants or players do interviews. He knew what kind of trouble their mouths could get his program in too. If LSU would put a muzzle on Lane, they'd be much better off. It's almost like he wants to be a stand-up comedian and a head coach at the same time. LSU looked really good in spite of their head coach.

Read up on Steve Spurrier and get back to me.

frick that, we didn’t do anything wrong except hurt feelings
If this becomes LSU’s official stance, then expulsion becomes a possibility. I don’t want to see it happen, but you can’t tell the conference leadership and other member to frick off and expect them to just say aw shucks about it.

Based on what I’m seeing and hearing, it’s too late now. The SEC is going to expel LSU over Kiffin’s remarks under the guise of loss of institutional control

None of that will happen. Regardless, people act like they don't know what's going on behind-the-scenes when they meet with the university's president on a regular basis. Their governor (and the booster class) is meddling in the affairs of the university, and it's extremely obvious that there's a lack of institutional control. This isn't about Kiffin or Wade, etc., it's about the clown in their governor's mansion.

1. LSU's AD releases a statement that states they will no longer consider adding professional players to the roster.
2. Apologize for attempting to break the rules
3. Punish Lane Kiffin internally in the form of a fine or a short suspension
If the conference is willing to push all of that on a team that didn't roster kids who they legally had the ability to... one of the few SEC schools that played this weekend without a single player on a TRO.... the rest of yall need to start asking when it will be you on the chopping block. Make sure yall don't spill a drop when you're carrying Master Sankey's water.

It was out there last week: LINK
Sankey has the votes. I honestly think he and none of the schools actually want to go through with it, but if you've given a school an ultimatum and they refuse to get in line, you just have to follow through.

Yep, amazing to think Penn St was never threatened with being expelled from the BIG10…..

You really think this is going to happen? I don't see it. Maybe an admonition of Kiffin about his halftime quip.

What did LSU do wrong?
How did LSU attempt to “break the rules”?
LSU complied with the rules.

LSU complied with the rules.

The SEC filed a lawsuit last week against one of its members. In case it didn't hit you last week how monumental that was, it's the first time in the league's 93 year history that happened.
What don’t you get? Players filed the lawsuit, has nothing to do with LSU. And they are 100% right. The NCAA fricked them over. Judge ruled correctly for the players.
The SEC (Sankey) embarrassed himself and the conference with his testimony and hypocrisy. Now it’s just a dick measuring contest.
LSU could be held in contempt for failing to follow court mandated orders. And the SEC wants to file suit against them? It’s why fans are telling Sankey and the SEC to go frick themselves.

You don’t go to court to obtain legal authority for something you already have power to do (expel a member school), unless you think the school about to be expelled will challenge the vote in a court of law.
Sankey has his votes.

Ha frick em.
Nope to all. Cast the votes and let’s ride

I hope they do it.
Maybe in the subsequent lawsuit, they can explain why they expelled LSU for not breaking an actual rule while other schools broke the same rule with zero repercussions.
That should be fun.
