LSU Voted to Prohibit Harris and Wright From Playing in the SEC

Many people seem to be overlooking the fact that LSU voted in favor of prohibiting Harris and Wright from playing in the SEC. The SEC members voted unanimously 16-0 to pass a conference rule prohibiting players who have signed an NFL contract or appeared on an NFL roster from playing in the SEC. LSU voted in favor of the rule.
If the Louisiana AG sues the SEC for enacting the rule, he will be suing LSU along with every other SEC school.

LSU's national image has sunk to new levels. Now ever team on your schedule has extra incentive to beat the shite out of you, and I'll be pulling for every one of them, along with the rest of CFB.

Did LSU already knew what the judge would decide on that?

Good. Teams playing with too much emotion are prone to mistakes.

Um, there is already pending litigation Federal and state on this. Why would the Louisiana AG file such a lawsuit? The issue will be decided there.
Plus, the AG is a woman, not a man.

Correct.
And players sued the NCAA and SEC over the rule. And won.
And here we are. A court order saying we cannot choose to not roster these guys based on fear of retribution from NCAA or SEC. We now HAVE to roster them due to courts ruling. An outcome from a lawsuit brought by players, independent of LSU.

You don't have to, you just can't use the fear of a lawsuit as the reason.
And this whole argument would have some actual merit if Lane Kiffin hadn't been calling these professionals to get them to file the lawsuit in the first place.

Oh no the team we were playing wants to beat us now, not because its the objective but because we have 2 players that went to training camp and 1 of them didnt play or get paid.
That's the motivation ole miss needed or Texas not a shot at a national championship it's to show 2 depth players at LSU shouldn't be there?
Ar you people that insane to think players give 2 shits about this.
Are you panties in a wad about a Ole Miss alum judge going against the NCAA and giving Chambliss a 6th season??
You should want to beat the player in front of you regardless if they are in year 1 or 8 like the lineman at Virginia

Multiple LSU fans yesterday were gloating that the Louisiana AG is going to file a lawsuit against the SEC.

My apologies. Louisiana fans love to troll Alabama for having a female governor, so I am surprised they voted in a female AG.
Hey, the cool thing is the chair of the SEC executives that may very well vote LSU out of the SEC is also a woman.

Exactly. These players only declared for the NFL draft. It isn't like they signed contracts to play in the NFL. I mean...except for Dae'Quan Wright did actually sign a contract with the Eagles and was claimed of waivers by the Browns...but still...Zxavian Harris did not sign a contract. Oh...wait...he did sign a contract with the Saints in May. Still, they haven't actually played for an NFL team. They should be eligible, because they never played as pros.
They weren't REAL NFL players like...say Donte' Stallworth. Remember when he declared for the draft on January 10, 2002, but 4 days later he decided he wanted to come back for his Senior season. He was told that because he had submitted paperwork declaring for the draft, he forfeited his remaining year of eligibility. So...back then, just declaring for the draft made you a pro player, but now...signing a contract with an NFL team does not make you one. Makes total sense to me.

It turns out that rule applied to the 2022 is illegal and we shouldn’t have it.

Um LSU did not vote. It’s been said many times. Also, there are rumors out that the vote was close to split even throughout the conference but the fearless leader of the SEC went with a unanimous decision to make the conference look united

It's in multiple public news articles and an allegation in a federal lawsuit.
