The case was in East Baton Rouge. The presiding judge is up for reelection this November. He is a Southern law grad, as is his wife who grew up in Baton Rouge.

So yes, everyone knew how it would go.

When the commissioner doesn’t know his own rule, can’t define a professional player, and comes up with punishments after the fact, I think everyone knew how it would geaux. By the way, if the NCAA would’ve just created the 5 for 5 and allow those guys a window to return, none of this would be happening.

It’s a nice thought. If only that were true.

But we would still have Lane Kiffin and Judge LSU in their respective jobs, so we can’t be too sure about that.

What defines a NFL player? Greg Sankey couldn't answer that question on on the stand.

Buddy if your team needed this to get motivated to play LSU your program has bigger problems.

Lucky for you Kirby doesn’t appear to have the thin skin you possess.

You can. But because the rule impacts 2022 high school class onward (requires continuous 5 year period), I don't know what success you'd have.

LOL. If you don’t think that this time next year some player who got cut in NFL rookie camp won’t find some lawyer to bring a lawsuit to come back to college, then I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.

It’s spelled P R E C E D E N T

I correctly predicted how things would go up to this point.

I was also the first to say that there had been backroom conversations about expelling LSU from the SEC. I got ridiculed by LSU fans like you are trying to do here. Then a few days later multiple school presidents announced that expulsion has been discussed and is on the table.

Is he going to have to tell these two players they cannot play because the penalties that are coming to lsu are too severe? Dang that would be harsh and such a disaster for Kiffin. It’s a strong possibility
The sec is not giving in

It's in multiple public news articles and an allegation in a federal lawsuit.

Christ......here's a link to the federal lawsuit. Please show me where this allegation is made: Federal Complaint

Can I sue one of the SEC schools to force them to give me a roster spot?

I mean, sure, I’m in my mid-50s, haven’t suited up since the late 1980s and that was at the high school level, and I have a mechanical heart valve and a bad back. But should that matter if a local judge says they have to give me a spot on the roster? I’ve got 5 years of eligibility left.

Dear sir, I am only in my 40s. And I played high school football in the 1990s. And I have a bad knee. And I am an avid Alabama fan. But I too have 5 years of eligibility left.

I would gladly join you in a class action lawsuit aimed at forcing an SEC school to put us on the roster. I would prefer Alabama of course, but even Auburn would be acceptable. Surely others here would like to join us on our quest to become SEC football players.

Wright has already stated his agent contacted Kiffin after the lawsuit was filed. The idea for the TRO came from Colorado, bud, try again.

Should be easy to prove in discovery then

I'll quote paragraph 6 for you since you're too lazy to do it. Please highlight the language that says that Lane Kiffin encouraged these players to file suit:

quote:

6. Specifically, Defendants waged a deliberate and coordinated campaign to recruit professional athletes to play football for LSU during the 2026-27 season, including players who had signed NFL contracts with the Cleveland Browns, New Orleans Saints, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Numerous reports have shown that at least two of these professional athletes are on campus and actively practicing with LSU’s football team. Defendants have also expressed their unequivocal intent to place those athletes on LSU’s official football roster and allow them to participate in football games during the upcoming season.

You have been pivoting until you are right, only when you predicted LSU winning were you right.

How embarrassing for you

I love how he made a claim, then pointed to something that doesn’t support that claim at all as proof.

It’s almost like these people have become unhinged.

It is clearly defined in the rule that all 16 SEC members passed.

I don’t disagree that Sankey should have memorized the rule prior to taking the stand.

But you realize Sankey didn’t enact the rule don’t you? LSU fans seem to think this is LSU versus Sankey. It isn’t. It is LSU versus every SEC member, even LSU.

Except it isn’t clearly defined. That’s the problem.

They didn’t have to memorize it. They had a copy of the bylaws with them.

It not LSU vs anyone. It’s a grouping athletes vs the SEC and NCAA. It’s absolutely amazing that you still can’t wrap your little coconut around that.

Its almost as if LSU knew the vote wouldn't matter.
