LSU fans will try to say Ole Miss is the bad guy here and say we are the broke ones for trying to collect an agreed upon buyout.
When they should be asking why their AD is too broke to pay a “small” $1 million buyout

OM sounds broke

OM sounds broke
Please do tell how that is sounding “broke”

Obviously they need that money, badly.

It would behoove LSU to pay up, the last thing they need is to be making a trip to Pittsboro where our friendly judge would be presiding over the damages.

That’s awesome man. With all that money, I’m sure it was easy to retain the coach who rebuilt your program. You guys didn’t lose him to a conference rival or anything, right?

quote:Explained in the article. Yes they would be taking Princewill to court. Traditionally ADs have paid those buyouts on behalf of their players.
With the players
What i assume is happening is LSU isn’t going to pay and they are telling Princewill to drag it out until he gets drafted. Then he will pay Ole Miss at that point. But Ole Miss is saying “frick you pay me now”

"It is customary for the school where players transfer to cover the buyout fee."
LSU told them 100% they were covering this buyout, we all know that. Just like they told Kiff they would pay him bonus money he was missing from leaving before the playoffs.

Sounds like you guys really need the money asap. I feel for you

we matched any offer that he received from either Florida or LSU....he just wanted to leave and that is fine. he stayed much longer in Oxford than he had at any any other job....it wasn't because we were "broke"

Clearly. Meanwhile your AD is publicly threatening to take a couple of kids to court over a couple million

If trying to collect on an overdue debt is "lol your broke" I would love to hear your explanation on how debt collection works in every single other aspect of the American economy.

"Traditionally"? Traditionally, revenue sharing hasn't been a thing.

This seems like the MO for LSU. They did the same thing with Brian Kelly, but ultimately paid.
