Baffles me still now they can't get one, easily one of the worst arenas left in the conference (is OU's worse?) where Auburn, Ole Miss and others have gotten new ones recently.

I think they are upgrading it, had some issues from the state allocating money I believe.

Is he though?

Yeah, two #1 classes in his first 3 years is elite.
Also brought in top 10 classes at USD and Arizona as stated earlier. Recruited Kris Bryant to USD.

For years we’ve heard “LSU is poor” trolls over and over. It’s hilarious that the goalposts have moved, and apparently LSU is giving cash to 18 year old high school baseball recruits, of all people.
Established baseball players at LSU have the opportunity to make NIL more than other schools, due to the high fan interest.

Football is still king of the hill and will always be. I will take the 4 national championship games this century. I will take Brian Kelly's results so far having started with 39 scholarship players his first year. However, our defensive coaching staff rated less than average before the season. Kelly has to make some changes there are we will continue to suffer on defensive side of the ball.

Lot easier to find change in the couch for a baseball team over the big boy sport of football.

We’re the Alabama of college baseball.
I'd say that's a pretty accurate comparison: history + recent success in terms of titles.

I'd say Texas is like the Duke basketball of college baseball: should probably have more titles, but almost always competitive and usually a good bet to at least be a contender for it all toward the end

Southern Cal is probably the Minnesota football of college baseball: success eons ago, but virtually zero success in the current century, which mirrors the current interest from fans and the rest of the nation

I've always thought if LSU gave a shite and built a nice new arena in hoops they could do very well. Baffles me still now they can't get one, easily one of the worst arenas left in the conference (is OU's worse?) where Auburn, Ole Miss and others have gotten new ones recently.

And where is it written in stone to you that LSU does NOT have plans for a new basketball arena? Are you a Scott Woodward insider?
There have been plans for renovations/rebuilds for years. As well as paid engineering blueprints and construction plans.
However, it takes time when LSU has so many other construction and Campus Master Plan projects in the works simultaneously, some with higher priority, including the new Library.....

But yet, ala-shame-a continually fails in their attempt at change for baseball.

It looks like LSU is saying f it in football and basketball.

The 24 class has 13 top 100 players with a Avg player rank of 10.95. I can't find another class since they have been keeping up with it that is close to this.

Poor Texas only has 5 with the avg player being 7.52.

I wouldn't want to play for the fraud pierce either. We're going to have to start buying players as well if we want to have any prayer because Pierce isn't going to get great players based on his coaching ability or development.

No one cares. We'll continue to win the SEC in the two sports that actually matter. We'll leave the minor sports to you.

Did he not just sign the No. 3 class in the country? Did an otherwise completely forgotten player on the recruiting trail not transfer to Texas and win the golden spikes in his second year (Ivan Melendez)?

I get the criticisms on Pierce, but let's not pretend like he's some abject disaster. He's made a habit of pushing the right buttons come May and June to get Texas in position to play for/win conference championships and get to Omaha.

Is he the guy that's going to lift a national title trophy? Remains to be seen, and as of now I'd say probably not given his teams routinely struggle once they get to Omaha. But Texas could do much, MUCH worse...

Some of y'all forget that it took Augie a lot longer to get Texas off the mat.

Is the arena really holding them back? They built a new practice facility which is where players spend an overwhelming majority of their time. LSU isn't missing on recruits because the seats and concourse sucks at the assembly center.
