what if I am in Gainesville and there are no gas stations that have gas an I am stuck in Gainesville with no gas in my car but just a Glock in my glove compartment?

Well one good thing here....when this shitshow gets the game cancelled hopefully this will end this stupid set cross divisional game.

WTF does this have to with anything. Florida still plays in the SEC.

Someway, somehow these LSU frickers will blame Bama for this.

opportunity for the game to be cancelled or played in BR - both preferable to Gainesville

How is a cancelled game preferable? UF is little more than a cupcake at this point.

The game against SC last year had like 35K people and the profits were given to SC. Playing the game in BR wouldn't be some kind of godsend you think it would be.

Tell me...What's preferable about losing a conference game from our schedule?

Also, why is it that in your eyes were all so dead scared of having a game in Gainesville? Maybe you've noticed...We've play there every other year. No one had any beefs with playing at Florida before a hurricane was bearing down on that state and threatening the opportunity to play the game.

You're glad Urban still isn't our coach and pray its not 2006 10th anniversary celebration?

I think that's the vocalization point, but I think they see an opportunity for the game to be cancelled or played in BR - both preferable to Gainesville -

Have you paid attention at all? LSU fans do not want this game cancelled.

LOL, so a student can't walk across campus for academics, but tens of thousands of people are encouraged to descend upon that same campus for football?

Look at the bright side, at least there won't be any problem finding parking

So many folks are being idiotic and down right obtuse on this subject today. I've just opened my home to a family friend that will be evacuating with his wife and children tonight. They are leaving Coco Beach tonight headed for our house in Destin.

Be safe Florida folks.

You can't troll while being rational. Better to just call them out and make them look dumb.

It's not difficult when they're posting such stupidity.

It's like some of you UF fans have never experienced a hurricane before. So insistent on putting lives at risk bc they know home field is the only advantage they have in this game

LSU will be knocking the jorts off you pussies in no time AND y'all get to clean up the hurricane damage afterwards

I didn't say it is or isn't improbable. I'm not a meteorologist, bruh. I just said the city is 80 miles inland and isn't going to get slammed like a coastal city would.

Surely you're not expecting a bunch of dumbasses to be able to grasp the geographic differences between Gainesville and a city on a river delta like New Orleans.

I can only pray the hurricane turns and doesn't hit Florida. If a cat 3 or 4 has a direct hit then the last thing you will be worried about is a football game.

I grew up in BR, not NOLA, and experienced many hurricanes there. I think when Katrina hit, the power outage lasted about 2 weeks for us. It was a mess. We didn't have a storm surge and were 100+ miles from the coast. I'm guessing it was probably about a Cat 2 by the time it got to us. I can't fathom playing a game within 24 hours of that, it's just crazy.

Comparing this to Katrina is absurd. First....a high pfressure system will be in place on Friday and winds will be from the fricking WEST....got it?

I should add that I have owned and operated boats for many years and have taken many trips out 100+ miles offshore and I damn well knew what the weather was going to be like. I do know weather and I know what counteracts counter clockwise winds....clockwise moving high pressure system on Friday that pushes this damn thing more offshore.
The rain chance is now 20% for Saturday which means probably no rain....and a 30% chance on Friday afternoon. Breezy winds in Gainesville and we have played at AU in gusts of 45 mph....and we lived. Relax already. On Saturday this storm will be off SC.
Gainesville will be fine.
