This X 1000. F. King & Joe need to step the frick up and tell the SEC officials that they will not put the safety and well being of their student-athletes, coaching and support staff in harms way by driving/flying them INTO a Hurricane zone where residents of the state are being urged to fricking evacuate.

You guys would love that wouldn't you? It's the only way you're getting a win.

Florida should forfeit if Gainesville is not fit to host the game.

Power could be out, homes could be destroyed, etc.

Well done, Florida, I expect no less.

I mean if LSU had class they'd offer to host this game and flip the 2017 game to Gainesville-- that's a classy gesture, trying to take advantage of a storm to finagle an extra home game-- that's not too classy.

I mean if you think that is the motive. UF officials are the ones who said it is Gainesville or bust.

How the hell do UF admins think it's possible to play a game less than 24 hours after a Cat 4 hurricane slams into the city? It's fricking insane

This looks worse now for the entire eastern half of the state of Florida than it did at any point this week, but it is Gainesville or bust for the UF administration. Pretty perplexing, but whatever.

This shite is insane. How the hell can the conference even consider bringing student-athletes into an evacuation state to play a damn football game?

Screw UF's unwillingness to consider other options. The Gov of FLA is urging FLA residents to evacuate immediately, UF has cancelled classes and told their students to evacuate. Yet they expect the entire LSU football program to travel from a safe place into the very same area the university is urging their students to leave?

UF would be a laughingstock if they evacuate their campus and require the football team to stay

Do you really not realize that it's not as simple as that? If this game gets moved to BR, then LSU doesn't benefits from a normal home game. LSU, like most big schools, makes anywhere from $3M - $4M per home game. If this games gets moved, they won't make anything. Like they did for SC last year, they will pay for expenses and donate the rest to the other team. Despite that, you want LSU to give up its home game next year?? What you seem to forget is that LSU didn't cause this issue - the weather did. South Carolina and its administration understood that last year, but for some reason, the geniuses at UF seem to think this is all about UF having to play at Tiger Stadium. Let's be realistic, neither UF nor LSU is going to the SEC championship game this year, so any thought that this is some kind of competitive disadvantage for UF is just plain stupid. This game is going to end up getting cancelled because Florida administration is too stupid/stubborn to do the right thing.

LSU's President better be in contact with the SEC office now ~ LSU is responsible for the safety and wellbeing of "their" student-athletes. You can't fly/drive those kids & the staff INTO an evacuation zone.

LSU should just not show up. Completely irresponsible to send a plane full of college athletes into a natural disaster. Ignorance reigns supreme in the land of jorts.
