When 3 of your biggest cities are all on the top 10 most dangerous cities in the country... Seems pretty easy to figure out

It’s a crap hole. As soon as my kids go off to college, I’m gone. The sportsman’s paradise is no longer enough to keep folks to stay.

Was happening wayyyyy before covid. Its not just people with wealth moving, its those without as well. Federal minimum wage, crazy high state taxes, no jobs, no opportunities. I left 10 years ago for Dallas and have NEVER REGRETTED A MOMENT OF IT.

I would be interested in a breakdown of what parts of these states are gaining/losing population. I left a small town in Ga because it turned into a shithole. I moved to east TN in 2017 and couldn’t imagine going back.

I mean, sell me on raising a family in Louisiana. New Orleans and Baton Rouge get dunked on daily for the endless crime. There’s your answer.

Alot of people from Louisiana move to Texas because of better jobs, living, and jobs. I love Louisiana but it freaking horrible in places like Alexandria, Monroe, Shreveport, and so on.

Place is a shithole. I'd leave too if it weren't for family and job reasons tying me here

This is exactly my situation. I have elderly parents and just can't leave them. I'm gone as soon as I can. This state is pathetic and the entire state government is corrupt.

I'm assuming that Florida is probably retirees — just out of curiosity, why is South Carolina so high?
.
That's not always the case here in Florida, anymore. Seems like everyone is moving here now, and it fricking sucks.
I'm from a small town population was around 10,000 for 20+ years. But, now the population is set to more than double by 2030. These corrupt politicians are being paid off, to allow builders to build whatever and wherever they want.
All the while making no effort to upgrade the infrastructure. They're adding thousands of residents. While ignoring the roads and schools. It's a clusterfrick.

In the past 3 years my father, my uncle, and two of my dad's friends have moved to South Carolina. It is quickly becoming a nice retirement spot on its own.

My last trip to Charleston reminded me of Miami about a decade before they crapped it up. Glad I got to see it before that happens.

Crime and poverty. Poor infrastructure and schools. You name it
Y'all pay 10% tax to buy a car AND you have to get inspections. Corrupt government, borderline Idiocracy population that elects people like Destroya and your governor TWICE. Even the mostly sane people in LA care more about the price of crawfish than the shitshow that you have for elected officials. Your preeminent university is surrounded by ghetto and nobody cares. I do believe there are good, intelligent people in LA, but they seem to be in a small minority.
