You have legal weed there. I bet they don't give a shite about much of anything. Except getting more weed.

Genearally, states in that region have more forms of entertainment. Where as us southern folk don't have much else to look forward to except for football season.

Legal weed, early snow to ski, some of best hiking trails in America with beautiful landscape, when has any team from Colorado been a significant player on national stage?

Consider the prices of houses out there, they cant afford to take Saturdays off college football.

The Bufs in '90 and that's really it. Though to hear some of the old timers here, they really thought the Big 8 was the shite back in the day.

Well, that far west, it really doesn't matter anyway.

Was in Nashville this past weekend. This statement isn't true.

Maybe close to Denver. And they're called the Broncos. Otherwise, Boulder and Fort Collins have never been much to get excited about. Mesa Verde National Park, Royal Gorge, St. Elmo, Pikes Peak on the Cog Train, Garden of the Gods, Red Rock, Rocky Mt National Park, Vail, Aspen, etc, etc. Folks got stuff to do.

The Big 8 was the shite in the early 90s. Their final season, before merging with the four SWC schools in 1995, saw four teams finish in the Top 10. And Oklahoma wasn’t one of them. It was a great conference before an awful decision to have anything to do with Texas and it’s politics.

If I lived in a place like Colorado, watching football would be pretty far down on my list of interests as well.

I'll be there next week and I will be watching football (and partaking in legal cannabis.) God Bless Colorado!

It might surprise you to learn that outside of the South, people generally have more than just football to look forward to.

Weed and Pro Sports make up for college. Strong Pro towns like NYC, Boston, Chicago, and LA don’t care about college sports. Nashville is becoming more like that, but will never be to the extreme those cities are.

i spent a decade in dallas starting 30 years ago. very little interest in cfb there. the lsu fans were passionate but not much outside of that. way more passionate about the cowboys

and regarding outdoors entertainment, i've been out west/hawaii multiple times. i've made it a point to ask and locals don't really do all those outdoors things frequently and regularly like one might think. a few do. most don't. life gets in the way; chores, kids activities, errands, work, etc. cfb just isn't in the culture out there.
