Same. But it’s pretty understandable that the average Coloradan doesn’t care. CSU nor CU are playing, and the Broncos season is fricked before it even really got started with all their injuries to key players.

It might surprise you to learn that outside of the South, people generally have more than just football to look forward to.
Eh, it's personal priorities more than it is available activities.
After all, in the South...it just means more.

When I lived in Palo Alto, my friends and I were packing up my trunk with some tailgate stuff for a big game between Stanford and USC. My neighbor walks up and says, "What are you guy doing?" I said, "We are going to the game." He said, "There's a game? What game?" We lived 1.2 miles from campus.

Yeah, but I've been water skiing in the winter. Any way, there is plenty of shite to do in the South in the fall. Only a retard would think there is nothing but football going on.

Well when you live somewhere that has tons of other cool shite to do then it really isn’t a big deal.
Yeah, frick those people for having other hobbies and interests and not having their identity be completely defined by a team of 18-21 year olds!!!

I had CU season tickets for a decade back when that actually meant something and they still didn't give a shite about football.

Man, the Broncos may go 2-14 this year. But you guys are right ... the natives have no idea what modern college football is. Most enthusiastic cfb fans here? Air Force and they are as mild as it gets.

Fishings better in the south imo. If you can't live off the land in the South, you don't deserve to live.
Beautiful mountains in Alabama? wtf? Do you know what mountains are?
Colorado isn't left-wing (especially not Colorado Springs). They must be from either Denver or Boulder. Rest of the state is right-wing af.

Weed makes people not give a shait about most anything, so why are you shocked?

Colorado has been awful since about 2002. What's crazy is they were a legit powerhouse from about 1988-2001. Coincidentally the son of one of their great QBs, TC McCartney, played at LSU. He was also the grandson of their coach Bill McCartney. I recommend the the 30 for 30 "The Gospel According to Mac."
Anyway, the area got overrun by transplants from California and the east coast and liberal care bears sank the program with a bs MeToo scandal. Interest also declined since they aren't from there. Cautionary story for Southerners who brag about how "fast-growing" their cities are..

In Alabama, I can fish twelve months of the year and world class hiking/biking twelve months of the year. In Colorado that’s more difficult.

Weed's not the only thing.

You make a point but the truth is (and don't tell everyone) the winter is not as bad as most people think. You can still do those things 12 months out of the year but some days it's not a good idea to do it. They're few and far between believe it or not even in the back country.

World class hiking in Alabama?
Son...
And as a former Colorado resident and someone who is out there multiple times a year a lot of us hike and climb in the winter. Ever hear of backcountry skiing? Winter mountaineering?
Hell, ice fishing?
Don’t be a Gump.

. . . which is why it isn't being played.
. . . and why Colorado football sucks.

This is true. The Springs is very MAGA. It’s no different than Tennessee. Memphis and Nash are blue and the rest of the state has common sense

It was a major conference just like the SEC and SWC.
Oklahoma
Nebraska
Missouri
Colorado
Oklahoma State had some years they were good.
Kansas State was on the brink of shutting the football program because of being a perennial loser for so long. But Bill Snyder saved the program.
The big 8 should taken advice from Arkansas on how not to agree with Texas that benefits them. It ruined a stable and strong conference.
