Lil fella is pathetic and on the verge of becoming unstable in his profession.

how are those assistants doing without Saban? Not a single one of them has been able to beat him

then he shouldn't complain about anyone becoming former assistants

So I guess Saban never took any coaches with him when he moved around jobs?

In all honesty to Nick, this doesn’t seem fair!

Maybe if Nicky wasnt a huge POS those people would want to stay around. Remember those people have a choice, to stay with what they built or go build something else.

If your boss is a total a**hole then you are not loyal to them but if the company treats you right then you will do all you can for them.

Tell Sir Nick to get that damn corn cob out of his a** and stop being such a prick to his people and they wont leave.

It's called character that Kirby obviously has none of!

It might not matter to you, actually you proved it doesn't matter to you, but character does matter.

As far as Muschamp goes, he sure did take a long trip around college world to get to the mighty USCe.

Let me ask you a question, when did USCe become one of BEST coaching jobs in america as you put it?

Bama fans love those that win, look at Jalen, we are all pulling for him because he did it the right way. We loved Kirby and were happy that he got to go coach at his alma mater, but when he did what he did, the "tide" turned on him. It's about his legacy, something he might care about, you, not so much!

The man can coach, but, good God Almighty, he is an insufferable prick.

Are these other coaches not supposed to compete? Just lay down and bleed. Take your Bama lumps and like it, slave.

Savanas is losing his grip.
He gone.

I'm sure Kirby feels he was fairly instrumental in the success Bama had while he was there

The idea that former assistants shouldn't hire their preferred choice to show loyalty to someone who coaches a school they are competing against is batshit insane.

So it's ok for Saban to fire the ones that he feels isn't helping him but he should be able to keep the good ones forever.

He did learn a lot from Saban. Probably not enough character from Nick to rub off on Kirby.

It's funny. Most coaches seem to really like Kirby. They find common ground. You dont really hear that about Saban.

agree with Nicky Poo on this one. You don't bite the hand that fed you. That runs along the same basis of stealing recruits in the year of transition.

Yeah this is pretty standard thinking in business. Of course people break this unwritten rule all the time, but that doesn't mean it's wrong to call it what it is.

But he need not worry, most assistants from his staff go on to fail and will subsequently return to his staff.

Who would those be? Sunseri and Pruitt are the only two I can remember and I wouldn't say Pruitt was unsuccessful before his return.

I could be remembering incorrectly but I think the only coach that Kirby took from Saban was Glen Schumann, and he was a quality control guy at Bama. Kirby gave him an on field job. If Kirby took other support staff who gives a shite. Saban sounds like a bitch.

evidently Kirby didn't learn enough of the other things to win the big games either.

He's more like Richt than he is like Saban.

Would Kirby be head coach at GA without his time at Alabama with Saban? Probably not. So why shouldn't Saban gripe about him taking his staff with him when Saban gave him all the opportunity to get where he was? So many companies have non-compete clauses and prohibit such tactics due to the inherent conflicts of interest.

Kirby didn’t “take anyone” they chose to leave. Saban didn’t “give” Kirby anything m, he worked for him. You are free to include clauses prevent all this in future coaching contracts.

What am I missing? Did someone force Saban's assistants to jump ship and follow Pruitt or Kirby? If an assistant leaves for a better position and more pay on another staff you can't blame the assistant for improving himself. If an assistant makes a lateral move then that's on Saban.
