re: We should just scratch Divisions and Pods

How quickly you forget when UT beat Bama for 7 consecutive years. This rivalry has always been streaky but I wouldn't expect you to actually look at and know the information before spewing at the pie hole.
Of course you want to keep Auburn and Florida cause that means you get to dodge Bama, considering you are 25-41 against them and have lost 6 in a row dating back to 2008, I can totally see why you dont want to meet more often.

Of course you like this as you dont have to play Bama every year in the regular season. The annual opponents is stupid - none of the yearly games are what they used to be, time to send them to the scrap yard.

Why would you say that? The steady stream of beat downs for years didnt humble LSU fans

If you demand the best and get the best year after year, then how come the Big12 sucked year after year? How come the Big12 didn't win title year after year?
I doubt you are man enough to answer or maybe you are too stupid to answer, but needless to say, you are stepping out of double A ball and headed straight into the major league.
re: 16 mean 4 team pods
Posted by apiratelifeforme on 7/21/21 at 7:27 pm
play an 8 game schedule - the 3 in your pod and 5 rotating games.
4 pod winners play in the semis
the 2 winners play in the SECCG
if the other conferences did this then the playoffs would be huge and make bank on TV....
last 4 standing.

Well considering they have won a championship more recent than UGA and the last time UGA was labeled National Champion these things happened......I would suggest you wait until you win something first.
- the year rubik cube debuted
- the miracle on ice happened
- the last time Mount St Helan erupted
- The start of the Iran War
- Kim Kardashian - Born: October 21 1980
-The average annual income was $19,500.00, and the median home value was $47,200.
- A gallon of gas averaged $1.19, a gallon of milk cost $2.16, and eggs were 83 cents a dozen.

I would rather see the SEC add 2 more teams and have 4 divisions of 4 teams. Top team from each play and the final 2 play for the SEC title.
Start the trend and watch the rest of the P5 do the same. Then we have a real playoff system...

So, when do these "benefits" become taxable income in the eyes of the IRS? In-state students pay about $32,000/year to attend UT, out-of-state students about $50,000/year.
LINK /
Athletes, especially football and basketball players reap significantly more benefits than the average student, so what value should be applied to that? If you're talking about paying athletes, the IRS looks at the entire pay package including benefits. Is that really a can of worms students want to open?

the people who work in the drive through are the backbone of Mcdonalds, you expect them to be happy with $15 per hour? Should they get TV money, corporate perks, stock options?
These kids get well over a half a million dollars of value. but lets be real about it.
If the schools have to start paying these kids, then the athletes are going to start paying for medical services, meals, travel, housing, and probably coaching. Fair is fair, they cant get all the perks and money and pay nothing....
not to mention they will have to pay taxes on the money they receive....once they break down those numbers, I believe they will realize how good they have it

You are smoking crack if you think the Lady Vols haven't dominated the SEC in a way that only Alabama Football has. More final 4 appearances, same number of championships in 1300 fewer games, plus a better winning percentage.
Lady Vols
1283–299 (.811)
Final 4 - 22
Championships - 8
Kentucky
2,237-672 (.765)
Final 4 - 17
Championships - 8

I was taught at an early age not to argue with stupid people, they will bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.
to argue with a UK fan who is talking smack about any other football team is this to a tee. they have an all-time losing record and should only talk smack to Vandy.
Also, coach Cal should use some of that bag money he spends any buy his way out of any future hoops games against Rick Barnes......just sayin!

As a UT fan, this baffles me. I simply do not understand why Cal can't beat UT. He struggles at home and in Knoxville with far better talent.

Tennessee is Orange Nebraska. Perhaps you will regain elite status in the next decade but you haven’t done anything yet. Your attitude however is as though you are a Bama. Bama justifiably looks at Mizzou in present day and says worst case they can compete with us and make us earn a victory. Tennessee better have the mindset that you can easily lose to Missouri because we are within reach of your program. No matter how many times you lose though, your mind just won’t let you realize your old money is gone.

There you go again being all stupid and forgetting the actual FACTS of the situation. let them transfer within the conference, let the NCAA give them immediate eligibility, there is still NO OTHER SCHOOL going to give them 50% of the revenue. They are going to transfer and be in no better situation, they will still be sitting on the sidelines this fall......
DEAL WITH FACTS, DEAL WITH LOGIC, DEAL WITH HOW THE REAL WORLD WORKS, oh I am sorry, those things dont fit into your agenda so you just forget they exist.

If it were truly a capitalist system the players would have the same rights to negotiate for better pay and better terms just like the Coaches
THEY DO! when they are being recruited they have options. After they sign their CONTRACT they dont have options. Same as your job, if you sign a contract with a company and later that night think of something you wanted to add, too late to do that now!
The things that no one really wants to discuss is that value of what they are given, the medical care that is provided, the travel expenses, the meals, and the ability to promote oneself to increase the chances of a better future! (get drafted) NO you cannot do it for FB and MBB and not for the rest of the sports because those sports dont produce revenue. What about the schools where the WBB team produces revenue? Are you saying the WBB team at Connecticut doesnt produce revenue? You are opening a can of worms that you dont want to open, nothing will be better after this.
The PAC-12 should treat this exactly the same way the NFL did during the strike, just replace those players with others that want to play. Your argument will be that striking players can then go to a different school and kick their original schools arse is invalid because NO SCHOOL is going to give up 50% of their revenue. NO SCHOOL is going to pay them that much so you dont have to worry about a USC player signing with Arizona and kicking USC's arse.
The players demanding this have no clue what they are saying, just as the left is demanding to defund police have no clue what life will be like without police. They are taking points and making an argument without taking into consideration ALL the information. Someone will introduce the information about having to pay taxes on their scholarship, buy their own equipment, pay for their own travel and meals, housing, ect and they will see the error of their ways!

DUDE, they weren't even the best team in 2017, how in the hell can you say they could compete with any team of a different year. Maybe UGA should worry about winning a title first before trying to say you could beat teams of other years.
