Piss on this sawed-off crybaby.

Beat him: "I WANT THE RULES CHANGED"

Leave his staff: "THESE ARE MY SLAVES...THEY HAVE TO STAY"

quote:

Here’s an excerpt from an article from AL.com.

At one point, that yielded some commentary from Saban that hinted at some friction between him and former assistants, Georgia coach Kirby Smart and Tennessee coach Jeremy Pruitt.

“We’ve always had sort of a mutual respect for how we sort of take each other’s people,” Saban said to Belichick of their relationship. “It’s one thing that I always try to emphasize to the guys: what I have a tough time with, aight, is we’ve had however many guys who have worked here who are at Georgia, Tennessee — whoever, wherever — is when they get those jobs, and in most cases you’ve helped them, is they have a hard time understanding why they can’t take your people.

“I’m gonna help you get a job, [only] so that you can take what I’ve tried to build here and destroy the continuity of what I have? It’s amazing how some of the assistants don’t understand why that’s not a good thing.”

Is there a worse figure in all of sports? Seriously, the older this man gets, he just looks so whiny and petty.

Consequences of success.

But he need not worry, most assistants from his staff go on to fail and will subsequently return to his staff.

hell, Pruitt could swap all his coaches for all of Saban's coaches and still lose most of the UT vs UA games.

Would Kirby be head coach at GA without his time at Alabama with Saban? Probably not. So why shouldn't Saban gripe about him taking his staff with him when Saban gave him all the opportunity to get where he was? So many companies have non-compete clauses and prohibit such tactics due to the inherent conflicts of interest.

Kirby also took a pic of Bama's recruit board and used it against Bama. Kirby lost a lot of the good will he would have had at Bama for his years of service by doing these underhanded things.

Can he really blame Tennessee? They need all the help they can get.

I agree with Nicky Poo on this one. You don't bite the hand that fed you. That runs along the same basis of stealing recruits in the year of transition. Kinda like what Andy Cannizaro did to Paul Mainieri.

Kind of ironic since LSU became the springboard of Saban's rise to the top and he has spent his time at Bama negative recruiting LSU and the state of Louisiana.

And how are those assistants doing without Saban? Not a single one of them has been able to beat him.

That should say it all!

why probably not? If he wans't at bama he'd be putting out great defenses elsewhere. I mean look at muschamp as an example. Will worked wiht saban at LSU for a few years as DC and with the dolphins as well. But then branched out and went to auburn. Then to texas. Then got hired at one of the best coaching jobs in america. It's not because "oh, I see hear you've worked with nick saban before!" it's because he's a damn good defensive coach. Ditto for kirby.

Is that against the rules? Late in richt's tenure saban and plenty of others negatively recruited us by saying the guy was washed up and probably fired in a year or 2 so it'd be pointless to come to UGA. How is that any different than telling a recruit "you're bama's 5th choice but our #1 choice"?

Kirby lost a lot of the good will he would have had at Bama for his years of service

so fricking what? Let's pretend he had goodwill overflowing out of his arse, what does that amount to?

Saban wouldn’t have his job without help from others. He took guys with him everywhere he went, depleting his former employer’s programs. He didn’t care how this impacted Michigan St or LSU when he left. Now he complains when his assistants become head coaches and take other assistants from him because it affects him. Hypocrite.

Most head coaches want their assistants to move on and be successful too.
Nick isn't worried about his assistants if he's not training them to be good head coaches.
