And got absolutely torched. One of those in only 2 quarters by a True Freshman who had played zero meaningful snaps all season

Sony Michel would be undrafted if he played a Big XII schedule. After running for 6,000 yards against those flag football defenses, he'd still be in a hot tub during the combine. He and Chubb would kill somebody if UGa played Baylor. Lincoln oughtta shut his yap.

Drive charts are fun. Let’s check out the last 3 quarters of regulation of the Rose Bowl for Oklahoma.

We kicked OU's arse in the 2nd half but I'm still shocked by how badly we got torched in the first half. They weren't just hitting deep bombs, they were running all over us. No other team that season was able to do that to our defense. I was expecting them to fold like their 2008 or 2004 teams.

This is possible...but if it happens Tua stays on the bench and transfers during the off season.

Certainly helped to win the game, though, don't you think? I mean, you couldn't tell a difference in the second half compared to the first half?

Sure they would, because nobody in the Big-12 plays defense.
No chance UGA would have had a top 5 statistical defense playing in the Big-12

So you think giving up one long pass in one half of football is torched? I wonder how many times Alabama got torched? I mean, we all know Fromm completed an 80 yard TD against Alabama, so that is getting torched once.
Surely that means Alabama had a bad secondary, right?

OU's offensive numbers would suffer if they played in the SEC so I don't really see why his point is relevant. Different conferences have different strengths.

Woild they though?

Last year OU did this against the best defense in the sec

45 points

531 total yards

242 yards rushing

Nope. I agree. Nobody else would either. However, it would have probably been #1 in the Big 12.

I really think they would. The second half told the tale. After seeing the offense adjustments made their offense look a lot more human.

Were they good? Absolutely. They would have a top offense in the SEC, but maybe not the best. Their defense would be dead last by a mile. No adjustments, poor tackling....we could go on.

I mean, your point is legitimate. Nobody knows for sure and it is all speculation. Their offense was legit, but it became ordinary when we put pressure on their QB. That is something Alabama, and Auburn did very well last year, as well as LSU.

Mayfield makes it happen in the end similar to Watson & Clemson

No offense but people are just stupid about that game. Watson was getting his arse whipped until Dabo realized no matter what the worthless Big XII officials would not penalize his offense.

Even OU would not get the same benefit. Two years in a row of poor officiating could not be covered up. No telling what Baker would do once he realized his drives would not be extended by phony PI and defensive holding calls

I don't recall Oklahoma getting the benefit of the doubt on any/many calls. All in all it was a pretty good called game. If anything we got the benefit of the doubt on a couple of calls.

UGA would be insufferable in the Big 12 (or however many teams they currently have). They'd go undefeated year in and year out through the regular season as the Big 12 isn't physical enough to wear them down over the course of the season. The talking heads would NEVER shut up about them.

OU in the SEC would do alright but they'd be worried about that 6th win a lot more than they do now. Biggest issue would be the week to week grind. Imagine how they'd look if they had to play LSU the week before Georgia, then had to play Miss State the week after, then had to play Bama and Auburn.

You played Nobody that threw the ball as well as OU. Give the Big 12 credit for what they do better than most any of the other conferences. They throw that MF around the park from start to finish and they throw it well. Give the other fella a little credit.
