UGA would be insufferable in the Big 12 (or however many teams they currently have). They'd go undefeated year in and year out through the regular season as the Big 12 isn't physical enough to wear them down over the course of the season. The talking heads would NEVER shut up about them.

Love it when I see this. Outside of Alabama and Auburn, the west really hasn't been that special the past few years. And we already play Auburn every year. So, tell me....who do you think LSU plays that is all that physical and wears you down?
Better yet, when Troy beat you, who did you play prior to them that wore you down?

You played Nobody that threw the ball as well as OU.

They may not have thrown as well as Oklahoma, but Mizzou throws the ball pretty well.
I mean, who do you think Alabama played that thre the ball as well as Oklahoma?

Give the Big 12 credit for what they do better than most any of the other conferences. They throw that MF around the park from start to finish and they throw it well. Give the other fella a little credit.

Most on here have given them credit. What gets most Georgia fan going is the lack of credit you want to give us.

OU fans view of the game: passing yards was about as expected (289 yards), rushing yards much better than expected-especially Rodney Anderson with 201 yards on 26 carries). Unfortunately our defense was gashed on the run as expected. Fromme was better than expected-especially as a game manager/wasn’t going to lose the game. Squib kick at end of 1st half was important from momentum standpoint. 2nd half was both GA adjustments and Riley’s more conservative play calling.

That didn’t happen in the 3rd q.

Is that the same Bob Stoops that was 7-4 against the SEC?

Yes, and the same Bob Stoops and OU that is 0 for the SEC in the national title game(s).

The PAC 12 and Big 12 are the only two conferences NOT to have won a National title in the last 10+ years.....

Laughing at YOU...

Anderson is a very good RB. We don't have the great passing attacks in the SEC, so, I think, we were playing more the passing game early....laying back for the pass. Things changed a bit when we started bringing LB's to rush and put more pressure on Mayfield. He handled the pressure relatively well, but we were getting to him for sacks and hurries more, and still keeping the receivers covered fairly well in the second half. But, playing pass first hurt us in stopping Anderson in the first, and even the second half to a large degree.

If you guys can get a good defensive coordinator that stress the basics (tackling) and teach the defense how to react to shifts you'll be really, really tough.

A lot of teams underestimated him this past season and paid for it. He was more of a game manager in some ways this year, but we expect them to open it up more now that he has more experience.

I didn't really notice the more conservative play calling until the 4th quarter, actually, when the game got really close and we were getting to Mayfield more. Riley seemed to not know exactly how to respond. However, he is an excellent coach, and when he gets the defense thing down will be one of the best young coaches in the country.

Seriously. Is a fricking USC fan actually trying to troll this board? They haven't been good in 10 years. My favorite was their preseason #1 team losing to Ga Tech in the Sun Bowl.

The entire Pac 12 is terrible right now and has been for several years now

I guess that depends on your definition of conservative. 4 possessions each starting with a handoff; 1 was to a receiver on a sweep. Nothing like the double-reverse pass to the QB.

That said, the Big 12 is better than the PAC 12 right now. the PAC 12 is hot garbage. The BIG 12 is at least a player and worthy of respect.

Nice. The scoreboard reads 48-48 and this guy shows two plays to demonstrate how dominant a defense is...

Go back and watch the second half. The defense stopped Oklahoma on many drives. First half? We didn't have a clue, but the second half was a whole different ballgame. They had one really nice drive in the second half that got me alarmed. I was getting worried they had adjusted and was going to turn it into a shootout again. But, as a whole the second half was all our defense.

They got the scoop and score when Michel fumbled, and the one really nice sustained drive, but their offense did not look nearly as good as it did in the first half. Maybe you should go back and rewatch the second half, and you will see what I mean.

Not saying we shut them down completely. I'm not sure that is possible. But compared to the first half, it was nigh and day.

As our D-coordinator, Brent Venerables even looked like dog shite. At this point, I’ve given up on a Stoops ever being fired from. OU.

As far as making it back, it probably won’t be this year with one & done Kyler Murray. Hopefully our 2019 & 2020 committed recruits stay & we should be good.

Why does that have to do with them getting beat by Uga? It's a stupid argument and has no value at all. Lincoln needs to pick his game up.

Pretty accurate as I remember it. OU had a great game plan to start with but Uga's adjustments are as good as it could get against a good opponent and pull out a victory.

3 of your 4 tds of the first half started with handoffs.

Could be to speed of your offense, maybe? They score so often and so quickly your defense gets tired. but the tackling was pretty bad, and they didn't seem to adjust to our formations.

The Rattler kid looks to be pretty good. He'll be a star for a long time to come.

It just seemed (to me) that we went in there and made adjustments at the half, and Oklahoma decided, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". Of course, if they had made a lot of adjustments and fell flat, then they would have been criticized for moving away from what worked. Kind of a no win situation for coaching staffs. The best fix is to win the game, then you are always a genius.
