OU's offensive numbers would suffer if they played in the SEC so I don't really see why his point is relevant. Different conferences have different strengths.

I disagree. I think if OU beats Georgia they go down to the wire with the tide and Mayfield makes it happen in the end similar to Watson & Clemson.

He probably needs to ask himself if that was due to his play calling. He is just taking a page out of "Big Game" Bob's playbook. Get beat by a SEC team and then talk about them like they are not good

Is that the same Bob Stoops that was 7-4 against the SEC?

Personally I wanted no part of Baker Mayfield and that offense. Jalen also probably puts up enough points to stay in the entire game but not enough to keep up with Baker

Yeah really.

Georgia was asleep at the wheel in the first half, but they had what, one touchdown in the second half?

Our defense dominated that 2nd half

the ou/bama matchup is an intriguing one.

OU wouldn't score in the 50s but they would absolutely give bama's defense fits. They wouldn't have the early success on the ground they had against us, but they would absolutley get theirs through the air. Bama's offense was built relatively similar to ours, so I can see a similar result with a slow start then picking up steam.

The really intersting thing though is a game full of hurts. JH would undoubtedly have more success against OU in the first half than he had against us, it would be damn near impossible not to. With that in mind there's no guarantee tua even sees the field. Bama is bama so I would definitely take htem to win, but it wouldn't be a blowout by any means.

Yes. Now take a look at who he beat. I am guessing your point was that Stoops did well against the SEC. He did okay against good teams, but not enough to talk crap.

Yeah, two of those were against Butch, and pretty bad Tennessee teams. He beat Alabama in a bowl game, but got boat raced by A&M. He beat a crippled up Auburn team.

Two, but one was off a Sony fumble they scooped up and ran in.

Maybe not, but that game made it clear they would have averaged about 700 yards per game offensively in the Big XII.

OU fell asleep in the second half. 31-17 at Half should have been motivating enough to keep it going. But no. Georgia dominated in the Second. OU had their chances. The offense was never the problem. Defense gave in. Same old story...

The offense was a major problem for ou in the 2nd half. Baker was getting smashed thanks to our adjustments.

Which one of my statements looks like an excuse to you?
The Auburn one? Dude. A very bad georgia team beat Auburn that year. Their QB couldn't lift hi arm above his head, but yeah.....excuse.

Now tell us why USC hasn't returned to their dominant selves in spite of being picked to finish highly by the media. Every year USC gets put in the top 10 and every year they fall right out of the rankings. But, congratulations on your #12 ranking this past year. USC IS BACK!

Not an AU fan, but you realize that their starting QB went out of that game early with a broken arm, right?
