That was probably the greatest bowl game in modern history. Each showcasing their stereotypes in a nailbiter. Oklahoma was a very worthy opponent.

It was a great game deep...no salt from reasonable ou fans. If anything this is Lincoln Riley calling out mike stoops. If you score 50 points in a bowl game you should be able to win. Smdh

A shootout of epic proportions. Right before half time, I looked at my buddy and said, "they are going to hang 60 on our asses"
Any game that gives you a roller coaster of emotions like that is a good game in my book. Win or lose.

Honest question for the OU lurkers...how much dropoff do yall expect? Riley looks like he's going to be great for a while and obviously OU doesn't lack for talent, but losing teh Heisman winning QB, award winning TE, and award winning OT seems like there's gotta be at least SOME drop off.

Riley is just another Mark Helfrich, living off of the momentum of a better coach.

The Big12 doesn't play defense, their idea of a good defense is one that doesn't allow more than 40 points and less than 500 yards total offense.

momentum goes out the window when you actually start playing games. Riley proved to be a dynamic play caller last year although obviously he inherited all those players.
With that said, he sure did clam up after the first 30 minutes. He's young though, I'm sure he'll learn.

Tell that to Larry Coker. Sometimes a coach can build up a program so much that no one in that conference can compete and so anyone who takes on that program after that coach looks like a world beater.
Riley is a good OC sure, but there is more to being a good head coach than being a good OC. Time will tell if he can keep the ball rolling.

Nick Chubb and Sony Michell would have been 1 and 2 in the heisman voting if they were in the big 12.

Riley says UGA wouldn’t have a top 5 defense if they were in the Big 12.
So, there's even less reasons that Oklahoma should've lost the game then?
Guy isn't helping his own argument here.

What he says is true. The Big 12 has had a history for better QB play compared to the SEC. Even the elite SEC Ds have problems against better than average passing QBs. Doesn't mean the Big 12 overall are better....

El Oh MF'ing EL!
OU has played 4 times for the national championship in the last 20 years and here is how many points they scored:
13 - Beat FSU 13-2
14 - Lost to LSU 21-14
19 - Lost to USC 55-19
14 - Lost to Fla 24-14
That is what your Big 12 offense will get you when facing a good defense. OU should consider themselves lucky they didn't get past Georgia, Bama wouldn't have started so slowly.

So what is your idea of a good defense? The UGA one that gave up 48 points and 531 yards (242 rushing) to OU?
Anyone who watched the game saw how inept OU’s defense is with the fundamentals: lining up properly, adjusting, tackling with leverage. Thank Mike Stoops for that. And it really shouldn’t have taken you until the 2nd half to see the huge openings/score at will.

When was the last time a NFL qb from the Big 12 was good beyond their rookie year?

This. ^^^
One play that Chubb scored a long run on, Nauta went in motion from right to left. The OU linebacker on that side followed him all the way over. When the ball was snapped, there was a hole on the right side big enough to drive a beer truck thru. Next possession, same play, and a long TD run from Michel. I couldn't believe they fell for it twice.

Remember when Bob stoops was interviewed at halftime in The BCS National Championship game against LSU....
He made a point of saying his Oklahoma defense was better than LSU...the best in the country.
That was funny.
