Not a detective. Yes was a state cop & I was polite (yes sir/no sir). Guy got so recognized in that stretch of 4-lane divided highway that one day he was driving 5 MPH UNDER the speed limit until one car finally passed him and was immediately stopped.

If so, did it unnerve you more than being stopped by a marked police car? I’ve been stopped once & it was daylight & on a well traveled route. So it didn’t bother me too much other than the usual targeting tactics (he was following me too closely & pulled me over for not using a turn signal to change lanes).
I can’t imagine if officers in unmarked uniforms come to my city. I don’t protest but would not be detained quietly.

SUPPORT THE POLICE TO DO THEIR JOBS. Don’t defund them but set reasonable expectations & transparency on internal affairs. All street cops must use body cameras. Don’t purchase ones that can be accidentally turned off.
DO HIRE MENTAL HEALTH SPECIALISTS/SOCIAL WORKERS
Allow them to accompany police on low risk calls where deemed appropriate
frick THE POTUS for doing nothing but escalating a bad situation. Good luck avoiding the civil war some of you idiots act like you welcome if he is re-elected.
