In my part of the state there aren't people of German ancestry. Everyone is either from the British Isles, French Huguenot or African American. Mustard-based BBQ is popular in the Midlands because a lot of Germans settled in that area.

My family has lived in South Carolina, specifically Charleston, since the early 1700s. Don’t try to pull Southern credentials on me boy, it won’t work out well for you.

Another thing - don’t eat at a bbq joint that’s open all week. Fridays and Saturdays and maybe half days on Sundays for the church crowd. That all week bbq is crap because real pit masters cook it long and slow all week.

Mom's family is from Williamsburg and Clarendon Counties. Dad's family is from Dillon and Horry Counties. I've had family in SC since the 1680's and multiple posters on this board can verify this all. Go back to trolling the MSB frick boy.
