Goodness where to begin? Just from a neutral observer/max entertainment standpoint these come to mind:

2001 Auburn
2003 @LSU
2005 Auburn
2005 West Virginia Bowl
2008 ga tech
2009 LSU
2011 SC
2011 Mich State Bowl
2012 Bama SECCG
2013 @Clemson
2013 @AU (prayer at JH)
2013 @ga tech
2016 Tennessee (hail mary)
2017 Bama national title
2018 Bama SECCG
2024 @Bama

I've been to plenty others that had closer final outcomes than some of these, and several that went to OT that didnt' make the list. The ones above weren't just "close games" but had, IMO, some other elements to them that would make them enjoyable to watch to some casual fan in the midwest with no interest in either team.

I've been to so many UK football games and seen us lose in just about every possible way. Honestly, no game sticks out to me. The wins definitely do.

Easily the 1998 SEC championship game. Leading in the 4th quarter and the usually flawless defense allowed two 4th quarter TDs

No doubt for me 05 Texas/OSU. Incredible crowd great game. Legit think OSU outplayed Texas for the middle 40 minutes…but Vince Young was one of a kind legit

1979 LSU-USC. Great atmosphere and game. That 79 USC team was the most talent laden I’ve ever seen play in Tiger Stadium.

Alabama in 2012

I was sitting with the recruits right behind LSU’s bench and it was electric. Then that final drive by Bama happened and they tore our hearts out one by one.

Still one of the best times I’ve had in Tiger Stadium.

2nd and 26.

I wouldn’t say it’s the hardest loss. I was in my late 40s and was more emotionally mature about life and what really matters.

But that was a great game; and I’m glad I was there. I really did leave the Benz thinking that Kirby and crew were on to something bigger.

It was a great game and amazing atmosphere. Nothing like playing in Death Valley at night with the amount of star power on both teams. For us, season ending was like this:

Georgia-State 1982
Televised Nationally by CBS
Two Great RB’s Herschel Walker and Michael Haddix (1983 NFL 1st Rd pick (#8) were on Scott Field that day. Game went back and forth before Georgia took a 29-22 lead in the fourth quarter. State drove down the field late with a chance to tie or possibly win it. However, QB John Bond bobbled a snap and sadly UGA recovered the fumble and subsequently ran out the clock.
Herschel’s longest run from scrimmage was 18 yards. So we did a good job of stopping him. But he ended up with about 40 carries for 215 yards. He was the best RB that I have ever seen in person.
Haddix ran for about a buck fifty in a valiant but losing cause.
