We thought we lost our shot at a National Championship to a QB named Dick and a coach named Nutt.
Unfortunately a coach thinking with his dick and getting that nut ended up putting our program in the Pitt.

That play reminded me of how yall also may be cursed in fb. I know that yall have made the playoffs and kiffin did better for yall but OM has had to to suffer plenty over the years.

2015 Oklahoma. Baker Mayfield turned into what he ended up being that night. The noise was unbelievable

4th & 31 - how do you only rush 2 people?? frick Hugh Freeze forever for that game
1997 vs UGA - 4 OTs. Robert Edwards ran wild in Overtime(s).
2019 vs Florida. I felt so bad for Derrick Brown. He damn near won that game all by himself. Not even kidding. He was absolutely unstoppable that game. Arguably our greatest defensive player ever.
1988 - LSU. Earthquake Game. LSU never got past midfield except the one time they scored. Epic game.

That was truly the most Tennessee thing I’ve ever seen a team not named Tennessee do.

1979 LSU vs USC....nothing else comes close. Most talented team to ever play in Tiger Stadium.

Clint Hurdle cost me 10 grand pulling Zach Greinke, one of the worst manager decisions of all times. What a choke.

2 games come to mind and they both probably cost Texas national titles.
Craig Curry drops a punt with less than 5 minutes left in game, Georgia scores and wins 10-9. Cost Texas 1983 national title.
Blake Gideon drops for sure interception, and then Crabtree catches that pass for TD and Tech upset Texas. That cost Texas a chance to play for title in 2008

Every damn game in 1998 it seems. Herb Tyler and Kevin Faulk just could not out score Lou Tepper. Specifically UGA (when we still thought we were good, and I still think that game was the loudest I've been to), Kentucky, and Notre Dame, that last one was cold and rainy and I was shirtless and painted up and miserable.

LSU loss to Southern California at Tiger Stadium in 1979.

It was the last one. Sugar Bowl against Ole Miss.
Totally sucked losing, but kept thinking over and over on the drive back home, damn what a ball game that was

7 overtime with Arkansas. I swear to this day the dude that caught the ball for them, for the win was an offensive lineman, that was not previously declared as an eligible receiver.

2017 Texas - ou. We had a 4th quarter lead over Mayfield.
2025 Texas - Ohio State. Complete a pass, Manning!

Nolan's best team.
Too bad they ended up dealing with Duke and UNLV or they would have been national champs.

Rumor had it that the team got news that Ken Hatfield was leaving and they went into a depressive funk.

Rose Bowl-CFP semifinal. Georgia beat OU in double overtime.
Baker Mayfield, CeeDee Lamb, Mark Andrews, Hollywood Brown, Kyler Murray. Lincoln Riley got cute with a squib kick after scoring a TD to give the Sooners a 17 point lead before halftime. Instead of kicking the ball through the endzone, he gave Georgia the ball near midfield. Dawgs made a field goal to trail by 14 at the half. Then, in the second half, instead of attacking with his passing game, Riley tried to run clock with run game. Stoops gave Riley a national championship team with all-world offense and a fair defense. And the OU defense gave the lead to the Sooners with a scoop and score late in the game. Instead of going for the TD on 4th down in the second OT, he kicked a field goal. Damn worse coaching.

So loud I could feel vibrations in my stomach. Phantom face mask penalty and offsides no-call on the same play.
Many forget, but the game ended with an LSU pass to the end zone that would have won it.
Mediocre 7-5 LSU had no business playing against the #1 Trojans who had Marcus Allen, Ronnie Lott and Charles White on an absolutely loaded team. They and the Miami team that whipped LSU in a thunderstorm (1988) are the two most talented teams I ever saw in Tiger Stadium.
The severely outmatched Tigers lost to USC 17-12 but as mentioned, there was a controversial late 4th qtr. facemask call against LSU that gave USC life and LSU had a long pass in the end zone in the final seconds that was there for the taking. Loudest I've ever heard the stadium.
