Crazy we won only won two games in 16. One of those wins was an absolute thrashing of Kirby's first team.

That team finished overall 4-8. Do you want to know why?

Because Butch was able to eek out an overtime win vs Georgia Tech to avoid 3-9.

I'm surprised it was 2013 TBH, but it makes sense.

Almost 100 years for Oklahoma is crazy. They have been very consistent over the decades.

You're up there thrice...

2016 on your own
2015 when you tied SCar

Not looking it up but Daryl Royal left Ms State in 55 or 56. So that 0-6 was either Royal's first year or the result of UT looking for a new coach. Royal was at State for only one year.

79 was the first year I can kind of remember what happened. My dad was cussing up a storm those games, while listening to most of them on the radio, but was really happy with the 80 turnaround Pell did. 78 I can vaguely remember him getting worked up wanting Dickey fired.

He was there in 54 and 55. Coached at Washington in 56 and came to Texas in 57.

Good ol’ Ears Whitworth

Biggest contribution was being so bad we had him out in 3 seasons and brought in Coach Bryant.
