Would there be signs upon campus to humiliate his daughter if the rumor was she slept with a white guy?

If Lane withheld the white guy and potentially kept Ole Miss out of the playoffs by keeping him from playing, then yes it'd be as big of a deal.
I have no clue about any rumors regarding his daughter and don't really care but I would love to know why Bentley didn't play against UF and got scant carries the rest of the year.

Rather than play him, we moved a back-up slot WR to RB for the 2024 Florida game. Bentley started the prior week in a win over UGA and had a TD run and started the next week against MSU and had over 100 yards and a touchdown run. He didn't see the field against Florida despite being dressed out on the sideline.
The back-up slot WR that we started at RB against UF had 11 carries for 27 yards and lost a fumble. We only scored 17 and lost by a single score. Ole Miss was effectively eliminated from playoff contention.
So while we can't definitely say that it cost Ole Miss a playoff spot, the potential is certainly there. Bentley is currently in year 2 for the Colts. Rather than play an NFL caliber RB, we moved a back-up slot WR to RB. It's the single most confusing decision I've seen a coaching staff make. He wasn't hurt, he wasn't kicked off the team. He just didn't play.

The rumor was that they broke up because she cheated. That's about the same time Bentley stopped getting touches of the ball and folks started to run with the rumor mill at that point.

The fact that he did see some touches means it wasn’t academically related. He was g on any injury reports. He was an absolute stud when he was allowed to play. He’s currently in his second season as an NFL running back.
I am absolutely all ears if you have any theories.
