I didn't offer a reason. I simply said if the situation as rumored occurred and it was a white player, it would be as big of a deal.

He was asked repeatedly during press conferences on why Bentley wasn't playing. He eventually gave him a couple of touches for one game and he broke off a really long touchdown run and Lane made a comment in the presser afterwards of something like, "He played, are you happy?" or something to that effect. It was really strange and something was very much going on. He certainly wasn't injured and there were zero reports of any issues with him in the locker room.

Maybe he fricked Lane’s wife. Who knows? Do academic standings change in the middle of games? Are you to believe that Kiffin would allow a player to badmouth a professor or coach then play him every other week? That sounds like a very weak coach.
Playing “devils advocate” is an attempt to stretch logic to an extreme in hopes of making an argument. Your arguments are nothing more than blindly throwing a dart in hopes that something could stick

there were zero reports of Derrius Guice being anything but a happy go lucky football players for 3 years, then the NFL draft rolled around and there were rumors of him having character problems no one had any clue about. Then a couple years later everyone found out what a POS he was. Football teams are pretty good at keeping a lot of dirty laundry in-house. You have no idea why he wasn't playing, but perpetuating a rumor about a player giving the coach's daughter an STD is pretty fricking low.

I mean if we're making up stories, then it could be anything. As you said, maybe he fricked Layla. Maybe Lane fricked Bentley's mom. Who knows?
It is interesting that Bentley hasn't aired the dirty laundry yet though, in an environment that would be very receptive to it.
