How to say "my agent already contacted them and they don't want me" without saying "my agent already contacted them and they don't want me".

Hiring a dirty coach is what auburn prefers.

Because Auburn’s scratch was a play away from beating Alabama and Ole Miss’s popcorn-ready extravaganza was a 42-21 drubbing.

It’s basically a Sunbelt job now. Why any coach in his right mind would head to the Plains I have no idea.

Freeze might have a few good years at auburn but will likely absolutely burn it to the ground whether he initially does well there or not.

Hughie already is one of the highest-paid coaches in college football at Liberty. He's also dirty as hell there, but Liberty gets a pass from the NCAA just like Notre Dame does. That being said, Hugh Freeze has an ego that is as big as the Grand Canyon and he is dying for a big job like AU. He'd take it in a heartbeat. He'd also have AU on probation in a heartbeat. But the big Aubbies will take that in order to beat Bama and UGA every once in a while. It's how they are.

He lost three years in a row to Bert. His teams in 2014 and 2015 were good enough to win the SEC but squandered it for nothing.

Imagine your HC retweeting speculation about him being desirable by a much bigger job and thinking that's a good thing

Sorry Ole Miss. He's gone. I had my doubts but that seals it.

‘Forget Auburn or Nebraska. Lane Kiffin and Mark Stoops can make playoff already’.

I hope Lane and Stoops both stay where they're at. Conference is better with both here (as are both schools obviously)

After what Lane Kiffin did to Tennessee, I would not hire him to work at the Burger King.

Lane Kiffin wouldn’t be on top of my list for a replacement anyway.

He also is not going to make any CFP from Ole Miss. Long outside chance maybe with a 12 team format.

Freeze was only one win away from the division championship and Kiffin seems to be building a more solid team. I'm not saying that he's definitely going to make it but I think it is within there is a real chance of him doing so.

Maybe he wants to play in front of a home crowd?

Auburn needs to re align their Athletics department with their boosters before a coach will take them seriously.

I up voted this because of the (what I hope is intentional) irony.

I will walk back some of my comment. With NIL and portal, I can see the right HC and all the internal factions of a program aligning and creating a playoff team from just about anywhere.

Lane is talented and he might prove to be able to build something of significance. There’s just lingering doubt about him for me.

If Auburn doesn’t get aligned as a program I wouldn’t want to come either. I honestly don’t know what comes first. The school, AD office, and boosters coming together and hiring the right coach, or do you hire the right coach that has the juice to get the other factions to come together?

Lane is a smart guy. Auburn doesn't seem like a good fit for him. More likely than not, he will be the next HC at Bama
