Hide from it, Run from it…

A lot of the men I hang around with and respect have planted that seed in me.

From the Visor to his Sassy little quips to his high octane offense. I’m very very excited.

OM fans will be out of control with jealous rage for the foreseeable future.

Easy bruh. Spurrier was fricking menace at UF in the 90's. Kiffin has a ways to go before you mention them in the same sentence.

I hated those Spurrier teams in the 90s but I think Lane will be even better.

Yeah. I don't recall Spurrier having controversy after controversy, either. Just the occasional dig at a coach/team/fan base.

Kiffin is nothing like Spurrier, despite his attempts. His awful jabs (that aren't funny), and getting fired left and right, leaving dog shite in his wake.

Spurrier was/is genuine to the core. Kiffin is fake as frick. The two cannot be compared.

As a LSU fan I didn’t like SP and thought he was a AH.Having said that if he were LSUs coach he would have been my AH!!!Fan have to be fans and support your team and coach. If you can’t move on to another school to support.

Spurrier at UF was more feared than Saban at Bama so I hope you're right.

Not even remotely close.

Spurrier was a Florida player who won the Heisman. He took over a program that was rarely good in its history and the success they had prior to his arrival was basically marred with cheating scandals.

Spurrier built Florida into the menace it became from near nothing. Kiffin jumped ship so he could coach at a school that was already built and spending extreme amounts of cash.

Kiffin has been in constant controversy in his career and has been fired from it over and over. Spurrier was never really involved in controversy and was never fired.

Even when Spurrier went to South Carolina he spent 11 years there and built them up as well.

Spurrier knows how to win, Kiffin chokes.

Spurrier backed it up, Kiffin forgets to plugin in the popcorn machine.

Just because Spurrier was known to throw a couple of media zingers about other schools from time to time doesn't mean he is anything like Kiffin.

What an insult to Spurrier this thread is.

You really sound like you know what you are talking about. They both wore the same hat so must be equal.

I see nothing wrong with your logic since it is based on fact and science. The football landscape has not changed at all since Spurrier was at Florida 25 year ago.

You go boy....

I still consider "Free Shoes University" one of the all time great lines in the history of college football.

And much like spurrier at duke, Kiffin had a couple of respectable years at a conference door mat type program

Spurrier won @ Duke.

Kiffin would eventually be left on the tarmac in Durham.
