Wait are there really SEC teams playing in that mid major tournament?

Could be worse than getting an NIT invite.

You could get an NIT invite and lose your first game at home against North Texas.

LSU was until just a little while ago. North Texas put them out of their misery in Baton Rouge.

But McNeese State and Wade are though! I bet LSU wish they would have stuck it out with Wade?

They are all mid major tournaments hoss. You have looked at the bracket haven't you? In fact, some of our best teams often get knocked out of the real tourney by mid majors. Happened a few times last year if I'm remembering correctly. One was a shocker.

It's always cute when a State fan trys to be funny.

And look, a aggie joins in and sucks his balls.

Oh it’s embarrassing as shite, but we’re not far removed from Alabama losing at home to a HBCU in the NIT either.

Al McGuire declining to have his Marquette team in the NCAA tournament
hurt the feelings of the NCAA. The result was fhe "McGuire" rule.
NIT was the big time tournament but this killed it.

the NCAA now forbids its members from playing in other postseason tournaments if offered an NCAA bid.
