The road goes thru Saban.
Kirby us a great coach. He's just not as good as Saban. No one is.

Yeah, the last two years were unacceptable. It's why we fired our coach. Also, not here to compare trophy cases with Bama. We all know what the situation is. This is LSU shitting on Georgia, which is merited.

Its several things.......
Of the healthy WR's they have none can really blow the lid off of a good defense.
So far he has struggled at putting a elite QB on the field
Still thinks a good defense can beat a great O

Kirby is a dipshit with QB management but it’s more to do with the fact that the greatest coach of all time is in his conference. UGA would probably have 3 titles in the last decade if not for Saban. Everyone wants to microanalyze what went wrong and how teams suck — when the reality is the greatest coach to ever do it is simply a better coach than everyone else. He is the Michael Jordan of college football.

Kirby is a better recruited than a HC for sure at this point.
But regarding recruiting, what matters is the quality of the players on the field during games and in that regard, we are too often missing key players.
The QB position is obvious but our fastest LB and best pass rusher, Anderson, being in jail was a major hit to our defense vs a team like Bama.

Y’all get off Kirby’s back. He’s only be a head coach for 6 years. His clock doesn’t start til year 15.
That’s when it really starts to count

He good in coach and good in recruiting. He got his team to the playoffs. No other team in sec besides Bama has done that good. Your comment is worthless

He's good enough to beat 99% of the teams out there this year. For Kirby, unlucky that Bama is the 1%. As Vol fan, I'm used to it...UGA 7-0 streak is nothing compared to ours. Really thought UGA was going to put it on Bama. Guess head coaches and QB's matter when it comes down to championships.

My first reaction was the same but it seems like you guys are more worried about beating us. If your players have the same mindset Michigan is good enough to beat you.

What's it like to have consistent top 10 recruiting classes and finish the season unranked?
but hopefully the new hire will turn it around and we will be back in the hunt.
was pulling for y'all against the gumps and was sure you would get the win.
i think Kirby Smart is a great coach for y'all and hope UG keeps losing the big games.

Kirby is a great recruiter and an above good coach. He really has only made one bad coaching decision, one that he has made three times, in not playing the best QB on the team. He really just needs to completely turn the offense over, including personnel decisions. He is good at making adjustments and getting the team ready to play each week. Every SEC team outside of Bama would be creaming in their pants to have Kirby as their head coach right now.

I think he is stuck with the old mind set of a great defense will stop the offenses of today. Until he changes his offense I don't see him getting a National Championship.
I think it's the idea of playing the "perfect defense" that he's got to get past.
I read a lot - A LOT - here about all these "high powered offenses". They're not doing much any different. Alabama played as much 11 personnel as anything last weekend. One back, one TE, and three WRs. Not exactly new.
The play calls are more aggressive. Yet, the defensive calls are more passive, and as a result, a lot of guys guarding grass instead of either rushing a QB or defending a receiver.
Dave Aranda isn't doing that now. He is sending pressure every play, as much as necessary, to disrupt the QB. Georgia did not do that on Saturday. Granted, when they did - the kids wasted valuable time slowing down to run past a lineman, instead of engaging and beating the lineman.
You can't cover these receivers for four seconds in the modern game, as called. So stop trying. Send pressure, or get cut to pieces.

Question of the day: Name the last SEC East QB to beat the Crimson Tide?

Hell Rig, we don’t have to ask what that’s like. We know.
