Oklahoma, maybe to their credit is doing things to be aggressive and market to the upswing they're going to need to get/hold attention to their brand in SEC...$50K per player NIL, big push spring game.
When OK/Tenn had home/away series a few years ago, I saw where their fans fit SEC passion. Not sure about on the field...we'll see.

Yeah of little league, babe ruth, hs ball and legion, legion was my favorite b/c we'd combine w/ other area town in middle TN and go play tourneys in Chat, Memphis, and Twitty City Classic in Nashville...SO MUCH FUN playing doubles against good comp...and all the good fields.
Certainly wish there was a little more parity in CFB. In CBB, there's 68 teams who could, in theory win the championship. In football, I think 4 teams lends towards "rich get richer"...would like to see expansion.

Not sure why all the Joe vent. I'm no LSU fan but I'd take Joe on NYG any time...most teams would. Joe had a great season...a few calls go the other way and they win that game. I'd imagine they are back in the hunt next year if they use their draft picks for an OL.
He's good enough to beat 99% of the teams out there this year. For Kirby, unlucky that Bama is the 1%. As Vol fan, I'm used to it...UGA 7-0 streak is nothing compared to ours. Really thought UGA was going to put it on Bama. Guess head coaches and QB's matter when it comes down to championships.

Probably the biggest thing for Michigan is UGA now shown they CAN be beaten, and script to follow. I didn't see the beatdown from Bama coming. Really thought UGA was one of those historic teams this year, like Bama 1992 defense that couldn't be beaten.
Pretty much known this all season. Been pretty evident 1A/1B w/ Bama/UGA...thought OSU may have made it interesting...Michigan would shock me if they made it interesting.

All the more reason to have at least 8 teams in playoff. A Cinci/Notre Dame game would likely see Cinci quick exit. I'm all for undefeated teams like Cinci getting in, but in reality how far down in the SEC pecking order would they have to go to get a W? Bama, UGA, OM, KY, Ark...maybe close match for Aub, UT, MSt?
Everyone goes thru it...Donnan...Goff? Just proves you get the right guy and things change. UGA rocking now for sure.

Love SEC Shorts, but we've given them MUCH better content the past few weeks...not up to their standards. They're not "on" as much this year. Always liked the midseason report cards.
Pretty crazy to think it was 44-38-7 before Saban...ugh. Grew up in the 70's when I grew to hate that wishbone offense and the annual beat down. Things are usually cyclical, but this cycle STINKS. Saban needs to go do something else!
Even if Coach O has his separation package tied to "keeping things on the tracks", there's no way he lasts until the end of the season IMO. Either something else more toxic comes out now that the bloodletting has started, or he can't resist saying something stupid.
It's almost like you throw out games vs Bama/UGA and get a better analysis off that. No disrespect to UK win at UF...it was a great win, but seems everyone already forgot UF took Bama down to the wire. Think when it's all said and done, it's UGA, Bama, UF, then about 5-6 teams slugging it out in the big middle depending on matchups and who shows up on a given saturday w/ UK and OM probably at the top of the heap.

I thought UGA D was suffocating...maybe best in the country. For this to be their year, Daniels is going to need to be better. Clemson no slouch either...UGA going to do that to a lot of folks this year. After WK1, I think it's: Bama and UGA #1 and #2.
It's all on QB. Get decent QB play from Milton or whomever (mid level SEC), and 7-8 is realistic. Get JG type play and we're in the 4-5 threshold, continuing our time in the abyss.
