No, gotta go pure geographical.
Anything else is pussy copout for someone.
Whether you go four pods or two divisions.
If Texas and Texas AM aren't in the same pod or division one of them is going to look real weak.

I doubt there'll be any divisions or pods at all once we have 16 teams. They won't solve anything. Instead they just cause problems. There's really no need have them.

If they do go pods, anything other than this will be a cop out for someone and they'll look weak as frick:
OU, Texas, TAM, Mizzou
LSU, Arky, Ole, State
Aub, Bama, Tenn, Vandy
Fla, Uga, SoCar, Kentucky
If they try to create pods based on current "fairness" someone is going to get fricked and/or look like a pussy.

Nah, wouldn't want the SEC champ every year coming out of the same Pod...its like how the rest of the country feels about the SEC

Mizzou had a lead over Bama when they came to the SEC too, ask them what happened......
The SEC is not the Big 12, OU will be road (and Owens Stadium) kill by the top SEC teams regularly. Riley knew this and ran.

It will be PODS as that makes more sense.
Play your three in your pod, rotate H-H with the other 4 teams in another pod, so every team sees every other team in a four year period at home.
Top two teams play for the SECCG

Will be 9 conference game schedule. Play all 8 in your division and one team in the cross division same conference

Seems fair, play your three and rotate two others in the other pods H-H.
Everyone will see every team in their home stadium at less once every 4 years.

So only one school gets three Big Six perm opponents.

Seriously, TN and LSU are struggling right now. You may have gotten a (possible) Big Six heavy draw but damn, they ain’t that good right now.

Divisions or pods are not needed at all. Each team having 3 fixed opponents and rotating the other 12 in 6 schedule slots provides more equitable schedules with frequent rotation of all possible matchups and eliminates the potential for imbalanced pods or divisions.

It will probably look like this:
4 team pods:
Mizzou, Oklahoma, Texas, Texas A&M
LSU, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Miss St
Tennessee, Vandy, Auburn, Alabama
Kentucky, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina
9 game conference schedule means you play every team outside your division home and @home every 4 years.
